Bring in all the bodies needed to fill out the roster and then see what happens when other teams start making cuts through the draft and training camp. Hopefully they can uncover a player or two that can contribute.
I also think that the team is hedging its bets against Grant coming back healthy. Achilles injuries are tough on a guy that relies on speed as his biggest weapon. If he is able to come back and contribute, great. But he has been underwhelming in his first three seasons so I am not expecting him to become Mark Duper or Mark Clayton in 2019.

I went and checked out the top WR in the league for 2018.
I stopped after the first 45.
You know how many of the top 45 WR in the NFL last season were 6'2" and 225?
Zero.

A little OT, and I get the 'prototypical' angle, but does one inch or 10 lbs really make that much difference? If 'prototypical' is that exact, most NFL players be unemployed.

Not to be picky, but how about 6-2, 223 - two lbs light? what is the range of 'prototypical?' 2 lbs, 5 lbs?
5-10, anything under 200, quick
5-11, 195 +/-3% (190-200), quick
6-0, 205 +/-3% (200-210), quick
6-1, 215 +/-3% (210-220), quick
6-2, 225 +/-3% (220-230) slow receiver, possession
6-3. over 220, slow receiver, possession
