Earlier this month I heard that they both were very good prospects with playmaking potential and I heard that Sutton did play like a playmaker, but now, I haven't heard of them, whether they are still doing good or not, any report will be fully appreciated...

I also want to know if Bruce Mkristo looks good or just like an UDFA...

GO PHINS!!!

It's Mkristo Bruce by the way. I don't see him being anything more than a practice squad type of guy though. He was pretty good at Washington State, but I don't think he is athletic enough to make a real impact in the pros. I really don't know anything about Sutton other than that he is fighting for a roster spot with P.K. Sam and Kelly Cambell, I'd be surprised if he makes the team as well.

I think there is alot of hype about sutton. I'm not saying anything but the guy is pretty unproven he has some good size and speed numbers but the guy hasn't really produced on the field and will take some time to develope if he ever comes out to anything. Bruce on the other hand was ultra productive in college and could excel in hte right system(we have the right system for the kid) but may need some time to develope as well. Between the 2 i would say bruce has a possibily to make the roster and possibly contribute, sutton is a longshot and his best shot may be the PS.

Mkristo Bruce is a good prospect. He has the build of Jason Taylor as far as measurables, but no where near the athleticism and overall skill. Although he was productive last year, it worries me that he got nearly half his sacks (5) in one game versus stanford - an offense that was as anemic and terrible as any other in college football last year.

I think Mkristo Bruce will be the back up for Matt Roth. It would actually be the ideal situation since no other DE on the roster really fits the bill.

Mkristo Bruce has a great opportunity to make the roster as Matt Roth's backup. He may have something approaching Jason Taylor's build but he has nowhere near that kind of athleticism. But he is quick and is a gamer so he could bulk up and play backup at the CE spot. Currently Rodrique Wright is top dog behind both Matt Roth at CE and Vonnie Holliday at DT. That's not a favorable setup. Wright is probably a better DT than CE, so preferably you'd like to have someone that can play behind Matt Roth and maybe even push him for playing time. That's Bruce.

Sutton is a practice squad candidate.

yeah i hope that bruce makes the team he seems like a pretty good prospect, and hopefully he is still there come the preseason games so we can see him get some action on the field.

Mkristo Bruce is only 6'6" and 260. He doesn't have the proper size to play strongside defensive end. He's more of a weakside guy like Jason Taylor except Bruce doesn't have near the speed that Taylor has.

I'm interested in knowing your theories as to why a 6'6" and 260 pound guy can't gain the requisite 10-15 pounds to play the position in question.

Well I highly doubt that Mkristo Bruce is going to be 280 by the time training camp starts. You can't add 20 pounds of muscle in that time frame. Not only that but Bruce only ran a 5.10 in the 40 yard dash at 260 pounds. How the heck much slower would he be if he added a bunch more weight??. The guy is a long shot to make it. I think his only shot will be the practice squad. He simply does not have the foot speed to be a successful pass rusher in the NFL and his lack of size is a liability against the run-especially if he plays strongside DE

I beleive in Rod Wright's ability to play both positions. I love players like Bruce but he could really hurt the team on certain plays if he can't get to the spots quick enough.

Both he and Abraham Wright are just too slow. I wish we would have drafted Jacob Ford in the 6th instead of Mormino. It looks like Ingram is going to beat out Mormino now anyway.

One thing is for certain, it's going to be interesting to watch all the competition on the o-line. Toledo had better get healthy soon and stay healthy or he isn't going to make the team IMO.
