Coach Brad Childress wouldn't guarantee Tuesday that LT Bryant McKinnie will be part of the Vikings' long-term foundation.
McKinnie's off-field woes may threaten his availability for the start of the season. "We could face some difficult decisions down the road," Childress said. McKinnie signed a $48.5 million extension in September of 2006.

This new article just came out talking about it in the Star Tribune up here:

Basically it's strongly hinting at the fact that both the owner and the FO has had enough with him.

I know he's no angel, but with him being a hometown boy and with his talent, is this someone to at least consider looking at ??? If they are as fed up with him as they claim, he could come cheap. Just a thought.

Yeah good point.. i wonder if the phins would be interested?

We should definitely be interested, he would be our LT for quite a couple of years.

Not to mention he is from the U. I'm not sure, but I think CKparrothead wrote a post like a year or 2 ago that said Mckinney could very likely end up here in Miami.

If he does CK is a beast. He also said Culpepper would come to Miami a couple of years before it happened.

I've liked McKinnie since he was drafted, and i know he's had some issues off the field, even being part of the SEX BOAT scandal. But he did attend college (if you want to say that) at that fine academic establishment known as DA U. With that being a big tie to his professional career thus far maybe he would return to Miami. I'd like to see it.

Jt for Mckinnie and a 3rd.
No way in hell the Vikings do that. Seriously...an old DE, possibly on the decline (still very good however) for a good, young LT AND a 3rd rounder? Yeah right

i would love to get him he is a Pro bowl LT and he could Protect John Becks Blind Side
