Bucs hire Greg Schiano

That is HUGE!!!! Looks like Joe Philbin will get his man (Sherman) to be his offensive coordinator afterall.
 
Now we have to lock up ST coach Rizzi so he doesn't bolt to take the Rutgers job.
 
This is legit one of the worst coaching moves I have ever seen. i feel sorry for the bucs
 
The FO of the Bucs obviously was wanting to go outside the box. They attempted to hire Kelly now they get Schiano. For some reason they liked the idea of a college coach. Only time will tell if it works.

The guy is a pretty good college coach at a team that was a doormat for years. Was very loyal to rutgers even when u of miami was looking at him as a head coach. he really flew under the radar because nobody even discussed that he was in a position to coach the bucs. He has coached db's in the nfl with the bears and was dc at u of miami before the Rutgers job. At first glance it seems like a bad hire but i think the more you dig he may be a very good hire. Definately like this hire better than the raiders and Dennis Allen.
Allen has one good year as a DC and really not alot of experience being a position coach.Allen is a an example of people getting a coaching job that they didnt earn in my opinion.
Sciano is not a sexy hire but he has been a head coach at Rutgers for almost a decade and has 5 bowl games. Doesnt sound that awesome until you realize that without him in their 140 season history they had 2 bowl games. I applaud all three state teams on all getting solid coaching hires.

I dont think they had a bad search. They brought in some very experienced guys , some coordinators and a couple of college guys. You have to wonder how Zimmer feels after losing out on two jobs. I think philben would have been Tampa's coach if we had not signed him. To me the Raiders coaching search was the joke.

I would say its pretty terrible but then again they had a horrible search until they landed gruden too

how was it so bad they brought in Zimmer and Chud. They brought in Schott, Was gonna bring in Mularkey, Brought in Sherman looked at Kelly and Jerry Gray
 
The names with their coaching search may have been good, but their end result was just terrible. I don't see the Bucs winning more than 6 games next year. Schiano is just not ready to turn that team around.

When your geting turned down for oregon you know you search is going bad
