Buster Davis's 40 time virtually guarantees that he'll be available when we pick in the 2nd round.

Unless we take Patrick Willis in the 1st round, I think Davis is a no brainer pick in the 2nd.

Immediately, he's the 2nd MLB in our 3-4. I know everybody wants Crowder to be the eventual heir to the throne, but I think Buster Davis is better in the middle. The only problem is that I don't think he can play either of the outside positions.

Still, Zach is going to leave eventually, and sooner than later. It will be a very smooth transition handing the reigns over to Buster Davis.

It's possible that Timmons slips too #39 even, considering his size and workouts so far. I'd take him or any of the tweeners over Davis. We need two OLBs for the future, not another MLB. Plus we don't run a true 3-4, so we wouldn't need "a 2nd MLB." If we ran a true 3-4 Crowder would shift over.

so our Middle LBs in the 3-4 is 5'9 and 5'10? and one of our OLBs in the 3-4 cant blitz for ****?

no thanks. Crowder is perfect in the middle and should be there. I love Buster Davis, but he doesnt fit the 3-4 and definitly doesnt fit for us.

Buster Davis seems like a very harder worker, had a great senior season....but in the NFL I don't seem him contributing anything more than special teams for a few years and then gone. I don't care how many tackles he racked up at FSU...being 5'9", no way he should be considered in the first 3 rounds.
