Here's a FA CB from Seattle to keep an eye on. He is 27, 6'0 and 207. Had a calf injury, missed 4 games and was mostly average last year but, was really good in cover the year before. He was constantly picked on playing opposite Sherman, and held up very well. I would add him to Culliver and Jackson.

outside of the Revis situation, he will be the second most sought after CB in the FA market. With Miami likely dithcing Finnegan, Miami will likely use the possible $10-15 mil in cap space to go after OG in FA like Iupati, Carpenter or Franklin. They also are likely to resign Odrick and Tannehill to deals. We may be strapped to go after Maxwell. Hopefully drafting one at 14 (if top receivers are gone) will help shore that up and keep Jamar Taylor as a nickel. At this point, its a matter what Miami does with cap casualties (Hartline, Starks, Finnegan, Gibson). I hope Wallace re works his deal and we just pay most of his salary as a signing bonus. I doubt he will though.

Our CB situation is pretty dismal with an aging Grimes, and nothing else so far. I would put it as my #1 priority in FA, and there is young talent there to go after and I'm not seeing much in this year's draft.

I believe that Grimes has a year or two left at a top level.

i'd say i agree you gotta be careful putting too much bank on grimes holding down one side of the field with his age starting to become a bit of concern....we have some young guys already so i don't see us taking a CB unless a great prospect drops to us early....FA would certainly be a good route to take care of OL and CB if we can accomplish both with the $ we have....

I believe that many teams are going to be going after the OL this year. Last year, Jax who need a whole lot to contend paid Zane Beadles $6M a year to play OG. What will this year bring on the OL?

I'm going CB to overpay and not OG. We shall see.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline Yesterday I mentioned how hot the free agent cornerback market will be. Early numbers i'm hearing are $10 mill/annually for Byron Maxwell

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline
Other number being thrown around is $6.5 million annually for Buster Skrine

Present word has the Philadelphia Eagles as front runners for cornerback Byron Maxwell.
