C-Pep's job safe for now

It should be his job still...........Rome wasn't built in a day...........if people want to point fingers, point in front of Culpepper at the lack of an o'line.....we go after all these big time free agents, maybe we should've added a couple proven lineman

i believe it should be too... and I've been critical lately. I have questioned his confidence. I just believe his knee has really affected him. i am starting to think he came back too soon. But now that he's here.. Taking him out will only effect his psyche.
How long did it take for E. james to come back from his knee injury?
As much as I dont want to be.. I will be patient.

I can't stand Peter King, but he had some nice words to say:

PLEASE DON'T COMPARE CULPEPPER TO BROOKS. From Kevin Decker of East Lansing, Mich.: "Is it just me or are there amazing parallels between Daunte Culpepper and Aaron Brooks? Brooks took charge in New Orleans and was successful for a few seasons but ultimately became known for his tendency to make bonehead plays. The Dolphins took Culpepper with the understanding that they were signing the Daunte of 2004, not 2005.''
Kevin, Aaron Brooks never, ever had the success Culpepper had in 2003 and '04. Not even close. Let's give Culpepper till midseason before condemning him to mediocrity. He's a good leader, and once his knee gets a little stronger he'll be able to move around better and avoid the kind of hits he took last Sunday against Buffalo. I think that'll happen, but I'm not sure. I just know it's unfair to lump him in with the NFL's 38th-best quarterback.

yeah this is obvious though. if daunte looks like crap in the first half vs tennessee and we're in a dog fight with a BAD titans team because of it, he's out. joey's in.

Daunte Culpepper was criticized from all angles Monday, including Dolphins coach Nick Saban, who said the quarterback isn't playing up to his ability. There is obviously room for improvement, and though Saban isn't thinking about benching Culpepper now, the debate isn't utterly ridiculous to the coach.

That's fine with me. He knows we expect results this week, and it's on him to produce. If he can make a decent showing, and cut down on all the mistakes, I have no problem with Culpepper starting. Our fans were almost ready to run him our of the stadium on Sunday, so he can't afford another horrible effort at this stage in my opinion. Let's hope he finds this "zone" of his, and starts proving the critics that he can still play.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!
