Im watching this guy and he already has 75 yards on 14 carries.

This guy is freakin quick and he has got some spectacular moves at the line of scrimmage. No one can tackle him.

Im very jealous right now.

I think most everyone will agree, even back then, that Caddy is the better PURE runner.. But Ronnie does some things excellently that will be perfect for Saban's system.. I also feel Saban had the notion of getting Ricky back at the time of the draft.. Ricky and Caddy are too similar, while Ronnie can supplement Ricky with a different skill set, and vice versa.

Yeah Caddy really is something, I am impressed not only with his quickness but also with his ability to shed tacklers. Not many rookies show up and are that much of a force in their first few weeks.

Jesus why is it that nobody can give a compliment to Cadillac without other people taking it as a reason to be negative about Ronnie.

Guess what, the better Cadillac looks, the more likely it is that we got ourselves a heck of a good runner because our guy put Cadillac on the bench a LOT during their time together in Auburn. The better Ronnie looks, the better sign it is for Cadillac, and the better Cadillac looks, the better sign it is for Ronnie. People need to get over themselves.

That sucks you all are saying how good he is but he has only gotten me 3 fanasty points. I am not able to watch the game but hopefully he can get into the damn endzone.

We picked the right guy, Cleveland and Chicago picked the wrong guy.

What reason is there to post about Cadillac in the Miami Dolphins forum other than to compare him to Ronnie Brown?

EDIT: And I said that this thread was moved to the General NFL forum.lol

BINGO!!!!!!!! Excellent Excellent Excellent post. While I'm not at all sold on Caddilac being the better pure runner, I am pretty darn sure Brown is a better overall fit for Miami. Just the way this guy was picking up the blitzes last week was AMAZING. Just wait and see, Ronnie Brown WILL be a great great player for us.

I like Ronnie Brown. He's a Dolphin, he's our RB of the future, and instead of making posts saying that we picked the wrong back let's let Ronnie have an opportunity to show us something on the field before we say statements like that!

My problem with drafting Ronnie Brown was always that I don't think his style translates to greatness in the NFL. Caddy can juke on any level. No one should be surprised with anything he does. The instincts are phenomenal and I actually think he's a more powerful runner than Ronnie because he uses great shoulder leverage, hitting the defender high and allowing himself to stay on his feet with very little loss of momentum. Ronnie is not elusive other than a spin move and he's not a huge back. I posted many times that air tends to offer less resistance than 240 pound linebackers. That's Caddy vs. Ronnie in a nutshell. We chose collisions and versatility. I would have preferred a decade of run to daylight.
