Okay you didn't ask me so I'm butting in any way.
1. Okay, we all know Cameron has kept it pretty much hush in terms of Ginn's offensive contributions. There are two reasons for this the way I see it. First, Cameron is taking all the heat on himself. If he were to flaunt Ginn's abilities to the media then everyone would pin expectations on Teddy and if he didn't set the world on fire, the fans and media would light a fire under him. I like the way Cameron's going about it, make everyone feel as if anything Ginn does on O is a bonus. Second, rookie WRs rarely have huge impacts and Ginn is no different then those before him. When he does get inserted into the offense, it will usually be for special reasons. Screens, reverses big homerun balls will be Ginn's MO this year. Cameron drafted Ginn for speed on offense and returns, he's going to make sure he gets his fair share of chances to make huge plays. Don't expect a ton of catches from Ginn this year, expect some electricity on returns, and a high YPC average.
With Lorenzo Booker, he's going to be more of a spell rather than the left side of a 2 headed monster. Ronnie is our guy, he's a stud and we're going to rely on him with just about everything in our offense. LoBook is going to be similar to Leon Washington to the Jets from a year ago. Get him the ball in space, get him the ball on stretch runs, and bring him in on some third down situations. He, like Ginn, needs the ball in the open field to use his speed to make a play. Both of these guys will be used quite the same in terms of using their speed to make plays.
2.) I guess I answerd that above, but to reittirate Ginn will be big on returns and make a few big plays on offense, not a lot of catches though. Booker will be a 3rd down scat type back. Speed and big plays is the idea for these guys this year.
3.) The position for most improvement right now left guard with corner back coming in at a close second. I still believe Pete Kendall will be here but if not, we could be in trouble with either Lewinski or Mormino. Both of these guys are mostly depth eaters and not really suited for starting (at least not yet for Mormino.) Our offensive line is already suspect as it is, but missing out on Kendall makes it an even bigger question.
The cornerback position is deep with decent players. No one stands out, and no one is awful. Travis Daniels will have a bigger role this year now that he's healthy. He was good in 2005, but his ankle injury held him back big time last year and it was obvious he was not 100%. He doesn't have great speed for the edge but he plays the ball in the air better than any one in our corner back crew. Andre Goodman is hurt, we'll see when he's back but when he is he can run and cover pretty decent. He's the least physical of the 5 but might be our best cover guy. Will Allen can flat out run and tackle. Can't catch a cold and struggles against the really good #1 WRs. Jason Allen, I don't know here. He's big and strong but he doesn't seem to get it yet. Allen is off to a bad start in his career, but he can certainly turn it around. Michael Lehan isn't that important, he'll be the number 5 guy unless Jason Allen completely lays an egg again this year.
I hope this was "CK-esque" in your eyes.
