Sorry guys, but you have to be real.
Calling out the D today is wasted energy. The D played good.
In the 2nd half they adjusted, we adjusted and we lost that battle. Yes, they are beatable and we could have won, but that's the difference when you you have more talent.

We played good, they played great! I know a few players need to go, but that's what this FO is doing. Cleaning up the mess left here after all the coaching clowns we've had!

Talent.. BS

our D won the game early, if they were going to give up 35 pts or w/e fine. As long as they force 4 turnovers and get 5 sacks.

Offense played well early, or ricky did. Hartline had a nice clutch catch and run. Ronnie played OK. Pat was used in the wrong way. Henne was not protected well in the 2nd half. Ginn had crucial drops. Cam had a crucial penalty. Fasano dropped a great Ronnie pass.

I believe if Bess didnt get away with one on our first Drive, the replays of his fumble and Ginn's strip of sharper would of gone our way. Make up calls.

Bess may have fumbled but Ginn stripped that ball at the one yard line.

Bad play calling and execution in the entire second half. No deep shots at all. All game.

We couldn't have played any better in the first half. Couldn't have played any worse in the second. I do believe Will Allen was the reason why. Going to miss him but 2-4 isnt like last season. Were not going on a 9-1 run this year. I want to see Vontae and Sean start, should be interesting. This isnt as bad as the 1-15 season and I will be rooting hard core b/c if we don't blow a huge lead to the best team in NFL we are elite.

The play calling was bad, but the real problem was how the team executed those plays.

Regardless, we were beating what is probably the superbowl favorite this season handily at half time.

The remainder of our schedule is looking much better. If we can split with NE and win most of the other games we may still get a wildcard berth.

We will miss Allen, but the Young guys played fine.

It was Shockey and Bell that carved us up in the 2nd half!

And I believe Henne did take 1 or 2 shots down the field, they were incomplete!

Yep!

I see the D playing bad against a team like New Orleans to be a foregone conclusion. What is not a foregone conclusion is whether or not a receiver will catch a pass that hits him right in the hands, or have it bounce off and be returned for a pick 6.

The defense spotted the offense a lot of opportunities. But you don't hold down an offense like that all game, and the offense ended up spotting those points right back. I feel much more letdown by the fact that our offense had plays there that they royally screwed up than I do about the defense giving up points against an epicly good offense.

The D played pretty well if you ask me. Later in the second half they weren't as good because they were on the field so damn long. But that entire first half, and to start the second they were rock solid. Getting pressure and forcing turnovers. There is no question the defense needs to be addressed talent wise, but at the same time you have to commend the effort they showed. Perhaps it would have been enough if our play calling wasn't so horrendous in the second half and we were actually able to get drives going once again.
