Calvin Pace Update

SI.com's Bucky Brooks reports the Dolphins have signed free agent LB Calvin Pace to a contract that will guarantee him over $20 million.

Brooks could be dead on here, but we're going to wait before assuming this is done until we hear it from one of the teams. Pace indicated to the Miami Herald late Friday that he wanted to visit the Jets before signing a deal.

You need to read everything.

he isn't signed yet...
pace told the herald that he wants to visit the jets at the weekend although he loves miami...rotoworld also says that the SI writer could be wrong on this one and it looks like he is..

This dosent clear up anything.... :

Same thing I read on SI... Were gonna have to wait for better confirmation from the team itself, or Adam Scheffer

the herald story came out like 2 hours before the SI article anything could have happend

He is going to visit the jets but i still think he will be a dolphin by the end of tommrow

Arrrgh... It is clear these articles on Pace are getting us no where. Just wait for the TA man himself Adam Schefner to say it himself, I'm sure we will get Factual confirmation tomorrow.

Veteren LG Damien woody is going to meet with the jets tommorrow ...he played of mostly and c sometimes but supposedly as ADAM Schefter reported on total access moments ago and we will have Calvin pace DE/OLB will also meet with the jets and that we have expressed interest in Drayton Florence CB...

Sorry, I dont quite understand, can you rephrase what Schefter said about Pace and Florence?

I found this in the Herald regarding Pace.

http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/439800.html

Of eight known free agents who visited South Florida on Friday, only one of them (linebacker Calvin Pace) did not agree to terms of a contract. Instead, Pace said he would wait until after he visited the New York Jets to decide.

But Pace sounded like he was leaning toward Miami.

''I love it,'' Pace said of the Dolphins. ``I'm feeling it. You know Parcells, he's going to win wherever he goes. We'll see, man. I might be lining up on the other side of [Miami defensive end] Jason Taylor.''

That CBSSPORTS is in a community form siting the SI story, thats in no way a CBS report so this is still a mess.
