I am sure someone has mentioned this already, but..........I really hate Cam Cameron, so I might as well mention it again.

Indirectly, Ronnie Brown's torn ACL might have gone a long way to helping the 2008 season be as special as it has been. Remember last season that Ronnie Brown was dominating. He was leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage and finally living up to his draft status.

Given Ronnie's performance, Cam Cameron decided to freeze out Ricky Williams. He made it a point to never speak about him, never contact him, and basically all but said that he would not let Ricky play for the Dolphins while he was the coach.

Unfortunately, Ronnie tore his ACL against the Patriots. The Dolphins continued their losing ways. Cam Cameron had no choice but to reconnect with Ricky and welcome him back to the fold.

If Cam had continued to be stubborn, maybe the Dolphins would have released Ricky Williams.

Without Ricky Williams on the Dolphins this season, is the Wildcat offense ever installed? Remember, having two threats at running back make it tick.

I would say that without Ricky Williams, the Dolphins offense would be completely different. Without Ricky Williams, the Dolphins probably don't win 11 games and the AFC East.

Cameron almost sabotaged the 2008 season, even though we didn't appreciate it at the time. Ronnie Brown's injury forced Cameron's hand and probably helped make the 2008 season possible.

Cam always liked Ricky. Dumb thread.

Show me one quote where Cam said he liked Ricky.

I guess you just started rooting for the Dolphins this season. Either that or your memory is faulty. He was consistently asked by the media whether he was going to have Ricky on the team, and he consistently answered that he "didn't talk about players that were not a part of his team."

Ricky also stated that Cameron ignored him. Cameron only brought him back when the Dolphins were out of options at the running back position.

Dumb response to my "dumb thread."

I don't know about the little fight you are having there with tickle me elmo but I can agree that he single handledly ruin this franchise from the moment he got here.

I completely agree. It just hit me this week that he wanted to get rid of Ricky Williams and I thought - "not only did Cam ruin 2007, but he almost ruined 2008".

Beating the Jets last week was awesome. It would be doubly awesome to abuse Cam this week (not to mention, moving on to Pittsburgh in the next round).

We were talking about that same subject last year. Cam avoided like all questions in regards Ricky up until we ran out of backs.

Ah hell Cam was waiting for Ricky to be re-instated. True we were out of backs when the time came but Gado had just been brought back because of the Chatman ankle injury. Then RW was injured and Gado was resigned.

Ricky Williams to rejoin Dolphins

By STEVEN WINE, AP Sports WriterNovember 15, 2007DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Ricky Williams stood at a window in the Miami Dolphins' player lounge and watched the start of practice as he chomped on an apple, so close to an NFL return he could taste it. Coach Cam Cameron decided Thursday to welcome Williams back, and he'll be on the field starting with Monday's workout. His first game in nearly two years could come a week later, Nov. 26 at Pittsburgh. "He'll be a member of this team," Cameron said. "He's a Miami Dolphin." Again. Williams has tested positive for marijuana at least four times since the Dolphins acquired him in 2002. Miami's franchise-record playoff drought began that same year. But it's difficult to imagine how Williams could sabotage a team that's 0-9, and so the long, strange trip continues. Cameron said his players favored Williams' return from a 1 1/2 -year suspension, and the 2002 NFL rushing champion embraced yet another fresh start. "I'm at a place now where i... Are You Wondering How Ricky Williams Got Reinstated Into The NFL?
2007-11-15 02:25:00
Nobody expected it to happen. Most NFL pundits strongly doubted a tough dictator like Roger Goodell would allow Ricky Williams back into the NFL after failing four drug tests. I even doubted it myself. When the news of Ricky’s reinstatement broke this morning I was initially shocked, but then it all made sense. I now had ...

cameron's logic made me want to scratch my head sometimes, the decision to completely oust ricky was one of them. But those days are long gone.
