Cam Wake and the fake punt

Some fans on here are convinved Cam Wake will not make a good OLB because he "got juked" in the open field by Weatherford.

Let's look at the video:

Now, he is lined up right of center yet is the only one pursuing him, the punter even has a head start and Cam still almost catches him. He simply cannot make up the ground between them but he was damn close. It's a hell of a play from Wake which I think a lot of you overlooked thinking he lined up on the edge or something...

the announcers gave you the idea that he was lined up on the edge by saying wake lost his outside containment... if he was expected to have outside containment on the left and lined up on the right.. then our special teams coach is worse then I thought.

As for what Wake is worth, he is terrible against the run and is pretty bad in space. If he was a complete OLB he would be a everydown OLB/DE and contributing on a WEEKLY basis. So far you have 1 good week against a terrible Bills Oline and a week of shoulda woulda coulda's with NY.

I didn't realize that he was so far away. That's aI still would have liked it if he had kept going outside. There was no way the punter was really going to cut inside. Punters are wimps.

Not defensive. Pointing out I can see and have seen with my own eyes on a reg tv that Wake messed up. You think he didn't, he got juked by a punter. Its that simple. People seem to be excusing Wake's issues like they did with Penny. Gets abit old after awhile.

Wake shoulda blocked a punt.
Wake woulda made more plays being on the field more.
Wake coulda tackled the Punter preventing a first down.

All didn't happen. His lack of skill set in space and against the run, make him a 1 trick pony.

I dont give a crap who it is. It happens. I've been juked by a slow, completely unathletic kid and that would only have 1 out of 99 times. I don't get why Wake is such a bad guy after this.
