he has pretty much become a hero for are season after catching that pass and got a few looks the last few games but does anyone see him playing with us next year?

i could see him on the PS and maybe come back if we have some injuries but thats about it

I think the guy made the most of everyone of his oppurtunaties..Im in favor of keeping him

...keep him only if Parcells can't find the talent needed to upgrade our receivers. Sure Mr. Camarillo saved us from going down in history, but you have to admit he isn't the best that we can get at the position. think of it if we come to a game winning situation; would you put your full and complete trust in him to make a big play, break tackles and alude players every single week. I don't see him being a big help but as a backup in case of injuries why not?

Call me what you want, but i stand by any descision that the Tuna makes, I think hes a little bit more qualified then any of us at making the descision of whether to keep Camarillo or not.

yes agreed, but having an opinion is okay too :)

With that attitude what are we supposed to talk about?

I will always be thankful for his history saving TD, but the truth is, he just isn't very good. We can't just keep people because they had one glorious moment in their careers, we need guys who can bring it every play.

Every catch he made (at least 75% of them) was either for a TD or for a first down on 3rd down. The guy came up huge in more then just the Baltimore game, he had the some big catches in each of the last 3 games.

I really hope he gets a chance to stay on as a #4 or #5 guy. I really like him out of a slot position when we spread the offense out.

Couldnt agree more he would be a cheap solid #4

People remember the TD against Baltimore, but forget the one against New England. That was an impressive play because he ran such a good route, got open against Ellis Hobbs, and did a great job with his footwork to stay in bounds.

Granted, his pt was very limited. But, in that time, I really liked that he caught the ball with his hands, effortlessly, away from his body. He also showed that he can run good routes. He deserves a chance to compete for the 4th WR spot.

I think it was Shouright who was talking about Welker in a VIP thread being an overachiever and how every team needs a guy like that.

That's EXACTLY what I think of when I watch Camarillo. He could be a very nice role player here in Miami.

You really are, man. It's a terrific forum and nearly every post holds loads of excellent content.

By the way, I just look it up and Camarillo had 8 catches for us; 7 of which went for a 1st down or a touchdown.

Yea not surprised he played well down the stretch..withhis salary why NOT keep him?

Whats not to like about this guy? He was thrown to 8 times and made a first down or better 7 of those times. He carried a 20YPC which is outstanding. And he did all of this playing in only 5 games; never starting. He got open against two of the best defenses (nos. 4 & 5) and made TD's off of both catches. And the best thing of all is that his catch for 67 yards and a TD kept us from going 0-16. Think of him as a Super Wes Welker.:D:D
