Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake appears to be all the way back from the torn Achilles tendon that ended his 2015 season in October.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Wake was beating offensive linemen in 11-on-11 work. Although the Dolphins have been cautious about not letting Wake do everything that completely healthy players are doing, that appears to be just a precaution. Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph praised the way Wake has returned from a serious injury.
“[Wake] looked great,” Joseph said. “He looks explosive. Obviously, it’s still early on. He has not gone full, full speed, but he looked great.”

Cam might not be human. He personifies everything an athlete should aspire to be.

Love me some Wake... Its great to have that passion, dedication and work ethics on the team I put so much of my passion into... Landry has "IT" too and you just have to respect that in a person...

Just knew Wake would come back from this injury. Here's to hoping he doesn't have any set backs.

We will have to see how he looks during actual games. It's promising but it's OTAs

Rookie mini camp should just be a week doing everything Cam does.

Uhhhh, he's beating lineman not even 8 months after tearing his achilles? That's insane. Start him slow though, which they are, we all remember how quickly delmas came back...and subsequently went down.

He still has time to get stronger as well. Things are light right now, but when the full hitting starts in late July, he should be ready to go.

I hope he lights it up this year and earns every red cent of that bonus money! Love this guy. ($2M more of 2017 salary guarantees with 15 sacks in 2016).

That being said, I doubt he is ACTUALLY 100% right now. No pads in camp so it's not like he is getting blocked as he will later on...plus you know guys don't want to contribute to injuring him.

I believe he will be ready in camp but June 6th after an injury on Halloween? 8 months? Probably not.

Awesome. I hope Cam wins Comeback Player of the Year this season.

sit him out of the mandatory mini camp

mental reps and rehab work and nothing else

This team has some great "lead by example guys" in Wake, Landry, and Tannehill. We talk about team culture, but there are guys in the building that you can easily root for and can be that guy that shows younger players what it is to be an NFLer. Granted money and time of play are a factor, but extending Wake was a good move. This team, if it hopes to not be a punchline, needs guys like Wake in the lockerroom and on the field.
