So there has been allot of talk about Cameron Wake--former CFL player signed this year. I personally think he has done an excellent job thus far. I have taken it upon myself to consolidate some stats for your viewing pleasure.

I know he's not the best def. player in the NFL, and he does still need some work to become a more versatile player but lets be realistic. This guy is putting SERIOUS pressure on opposing qb's. I don't think he should be an every down player just yet but I do think he deserves a little more playing time than he's getting.

(The overall, pass rush, pass coverage, and run defense stats are PFFs rating in those perticular categories)

Any thoughts?

I think alot of people are still skeptical about his abilities just because he was in the CFL.

They're idiots. As I have been saying since before the season started.

Only having Wake in on 9 plays against the Bills a couple weeks ago, after he totally dominated them in the game earlier in the season at home (when he saw 3 times the plays), was another idiotic decision.

Wake needs to play MORE...
Sparano has proven he is so slow to change
look at Porter, Crowder,Wilson who were all playing terrible and
everyone here was bitching they need to sit for weeks and weeks
before Sparano did anything.

JT has done basically nothing in the past 7 games yet continues to
get 60-70 snaps a game versus Wake's 9-10 snaps

How long did Ginn drop passes week after week and Sparano and co. and continued to put Ginn out there.

Sparano and co. continue to fail with the Pat White experiment yet they continue to use him at the most absurd times.

Without the Pennington injury I serious doubt Henne would have been
anything but innactive.

Would Davis even see the field if Allen didn't go down to injury?

After Roth came back from his injury he couldn't even sniff the field
yet blows up in Cleveland when given the opportunity to play.

wakie wake time...for Sparano

More QB hits and pressures than both JT and JP and he's played less than 1/4th of the time that either of those guys have..... does anything else need to be said? Get Wake On The Field!!!!

You think it would be a no brainer.

It's funny that Taylor is now our best run stopping outside linebacker.

Also, interesting. Porter has basically had one great year and two mediocre ones for us so far. His one great year has come when Taylor was gone. Most likely a coincidence but interesting nonetheless.

I don't think it is. I don't think that Joey and JT compliment each other all that well. They're both pass rush specialists. We need a real complete LB at one of those spots.

I don't think anyone here doubts his pass rush abilities whatsoever, but Sparano is the one that wants him to improve on the run defense. Personally I'd like him to have more reps than Porter because he's been extremely effective in the few opportunities he's had.
