Cameron Wake vertical leap(11'8")

Think. When quarterbacks get to be 10 feet tall, he'll be the only guy on the field that can knock down a pass.

Nice to know but can he transition it to the field at the NFL level i see the skill, but does he have the smarts to out smart people like Manning, Brady, and Brees.

In all fairness to Mr. Wake, pass-rushing OLB's don't need to be brain surgeons in order to compete at a high level. Lawrence Taylor (the original LT) wasn't exactly known for academia. Shawn Merriman (if you've ever heard him speak) certainly was never a member of MENSA. Neither of them seemed to have any trouble getting to the QB. It would be phenomenal if he had field awareness akin to that of Jason Taylor, but it's not mandatory or even necessary. Just pin your ears back young fella' and get to the damn quarterback!!!

Bottom line i hope not all of his success goes towards that he was in the CFL.

that doesn't only apply to OLB's.

Impressive jump but this is not what his vertical leap was. The measurement would be the ground covered total and it is done with a standing flat footed start.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure what the original poster meant was highjump.

Well, he juped to that height because it is established fact that it is the ceiling ht of the BC facility in that room, so, that's true. But at the combine, supposedly it was 46" .

How many football players play flat footed?

We're talking about a OLB/DE thats appx 250-260 lbs that can jump a 46" verticle....when you look at the results from the last combine....there's only two players that come close to that...both are cornerbacks, washington and Butler...washington is 6' and Butler is 5'10"...both are under 200 lbs....can I get a WOW for Wake!!!
