Great array of moves to get to the quarterback. The only thing missing was either an inside move or a spin sack. Those will come too, the way he plays. A lot of guys don't string together three plays like that in an entire season.

Cameron Wake strung those three plays together in only 24 defensive snaps.

Not to mention, as I talked about in preseason, he does a good job re-tracing using the spin move on draws and plays like that. 6 tackles, 4 TFLs, 3.0 Sacks, 2 QB Hurries, 1 Forced Fumble...in 24 snaps.

Welcome to the NFL Cameron Wake.

Those people that said that getting Wake from the CFL was like picking up an extra first day draft pick...were RIGHT.

Man that last Sack is just too much, Wake just pushed that right tackle back like if he was an 180 pounder WR. Man Wake is a beast he is just agile and has a crazy motor he can develop good coverage skills we r good with him for a lot of years and even if he never learns how to coverage but he can keep gettin Sacks than we are good with him too lol.

I missed a lot of the game and didn't see those sacks. My first impression is wow he's fast. Can't wait to see him harassing Sanchez on Monday!

I like Joey Porter but if Wake continues to play this good and progresses well, who knows, they might trade Porter for a draft pick during the offseason. Joey will likely end up with good numbers again this season, we might be able to get a 2nd for him.

i say, a couple of games with multisacks for Wake and if hes showing growth and improvement its a done deal that porter is gone, i love him but a second round pick looks awfully nice, we could use the first and a second on defense and the other second on a great pass catching TE, then sign a great WR through FA and i call contender.

Now if we could just play Buffalo every week we'd be in business. But if the injuries to the Jests O Line are for real we could be looking at another nice week from Wake.

JESUS he is so fast and strong....on that second sack the RT was like WTF dude...he just kinda pushed him out of the way.....and his pursuit on that first one...man thats closing speed.

and on his last one he literly pushed him into the QB....woody and his backup will have a looooooong day on their hands i bet our CS is gonna get him more than 24 snaps this week

If Woody is out, Wake could have another hat trick because lemme tell ya Wayne Hunter SUCKS. I don't know if that's the guy that would play RT in place of Woody, I think it is, but he's pretty bad.

i know its still to early but i would like to see all the people who said hes was just a CFL Scrub.

haha seriously CK where can i get that shirt... i just recently moved out of Tampa back to NY because of a job situation and i would like to stick it to these Jets fans. That would be a great icebreaker haha

LOL, well I made the pictures using a photo editor and I just ran out to a custom t-shirt joint here in Tampa (down on S. Dale Mabry) and had them put it on a shirt for me.

Shoot me an email address and I'll send you the JPG images, and then maybe you could do the same. Cost me about 20 bucks.

crazy speed, if he can learn a counter move underneath, spin etc..we would have the makings physically of an all-pro. he'll have to learn mentally when to switch it up! but if he does look-out!

I have been a Cam Wake backer since the day we signed him.

I knew 100% that he was for real. I said a month before the season that as soon as this guy gets into a game and shows what he can do, he won't look back.

His skills are very very rare. Very few pass rushers can move so fast along with that low bend.. And very few have that Dwight Freeney like burst and explosiveness off the line.

As Sparano said, he gets so low, making himself small., and moves so fast while doing it, it's almost impossible for a big OT to get his hands on him.

When Sparano was talking about Wake's rush skills.. The two names that popped into his head were Demarcus Ware and Dwight Freeney.

It is a crime that he wasn't in the lineup in the first few games with Taylor and Porter for some exotic packages in long passing situations.

Cameron Wake is a great outside pass rusher.

The problem is that he can't cover on pass plays, and Sparano says he also struggles defending the run.

Right now, Wake is a predictable specialist. When he's on the field, everyone knows that he will be doing an outside pass rush.

If Cameron Wake wants to be an every down linebacker, he still needs to improve on other area LB skills - like covering on pass plays, and defending against the run.

Because if he's always on the field, and always rushing the passer, then we're essentially switching from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense.
