Why does everyone think he is above Bess? IMO Bess was better. Cam was solid but is a dime a dozen. Bess/Ginn should be 1 and 2 if the fins go with what they have. In fact I would argue that Bess is Miami's best receiver. The guy runs great routes and get open when he needs to be open. I am disappointed that he is not getting his props.

Camarillo has a place in dophins history for saving us from a winless season and he is a good route runner. That being said, he is completely average and yes Devon Bess is a better option but Bess is a slot guy. He did alright when he had to play the #2 spot but he's built to play the slot.

Camarillo was on pace for over 1000 yards and well over 100 catches. He was our easily our best WR threat in the passing game until he got hurt.

Not to mention he's the guy who saved us from a winless season, plays with all heart, and has never been handed anything in his life.

What did Bess do that was so special? He was getting open coming out of the slot, meaning he wasn't beating teams starting corners like Cam was. I like the guy, but if anyone is a dime a dozen it's Bess.

It's amazing how true the old saying "out of sight, out of mind" is. Obviously Parcells and company thought enough of Camarillo to give him a contract...

camarillo > bess

easy. bess is small and slow and kinda quick. poor man's poorer mans welker.

camarillo is taller and has good ball skills, a welker with better genetics.

Well Camarillo may be a dime a dozen (not), but he was the best we had (and you can't justify whether or not we had good or bad receivers imho when taking into consideration the capabilities of our QB) until going down. And if players like him are a dime a dozen, sure was alot of dimes given to Welker and I rate Camarillo above Welker if for no other reason than because he hasn't professed he wants to play for someone else while wearing a Dolphin uniform.

While "Camirillo" might be a dime a dozen, Camarillo may look average doing it, but in reality he's our only receiver who can be counted on to make all the plays needed.

We have a nice core of WR's with Ginn, Cam, Bess and London. We just need that go to #1 big time WR, and we are set.

The bigger issue with Cam is how he will return from injury . . . that is the only thing that worries me with him . . . but he has been clutch and consistent for this team and I definitely want him as part of this WR group that we have. He earned that contract extension.

Honestly they are both solid WR's who are completely under appreciated by the rest of the league. We need 2 things to make them better. We need a true #1 WR threat and a QB who can get it fast and accurately downfield. With a true threat downfield that would open up a lot of shorter passes to Camarillo and Bess.

Cam runs the best routes on the Dolphins by far. BY FAR. That's why he was Chad's favorite target early on. He gets consistently open and gets seperation the short and immediate game.

I would not underestimate Camarillo, that being said, I really see something in Bess. I think the sky is the limit with him. If he works hard enough, I honestly believe he could be thought of as a elite NFL receiver in the next 2-3 years.

With Camarillo, you have that guy every good team needs. Catches everything, good route runner, makes the big catch, makes the big play. If we ever let him go, Belicheat would just sign him, and beat us with him, you know this.

I'd like to see what Ginn would do if Bess or Camarillo was the focus of opposing defenses secondary. Even though his #'s weren't that big Ginn demanded a lot of attention from defenses due to his "fear" factor alone. Ginn gets a lot of criticism on here for not putting up big numbers but I wouldn't have wanted to see what our offense would have been like without him. Take Ginn out put in Bess and Cam and all of a sudden Nobody fears getting beat deep or giving up the big play. Teams already aren't really worried about it because of Penny's arm strength but take Ginn out and you're gonna see an aweful lot of defenders in the box on most plays.

Everyone doesn't think Camarillo is above Bess but our GM Jeff Ireland stated earlier this month that if the season started today, Greg would be the starting WR opposite of Ted Ginn. I don't think it's about who is better between the two but how the team views Bess as a better slot receiver than an outside receiver.

Bess not getting his props? Don't tell romio that as he has created The Official Davon Bess Thread.

So Camarillo is entitled to something for "Saving Our Season" And plays with all heart and never had been handed anything in his life.

No, hes not entitled to anything. He is completely average and replaceable. Bess is not.

The man-crush on Camarillo is unbelieavable. He is good, yes. But nothing above. Bess will be special. Greg will not.

They play different roles. Bess is an awesome slot guy, but his game would change a bit if he were put on the outside. I like the way it's set up now with Bess in the slot.
