Sans Shula himself I am not sure there is any coach out there that will satisfy the majority of this fan base. No matter what name is thrown out there it seems like there are more detractors than there are people liking the names. No matter who or what kind of coach you bring in there is going to be a risk. There are a lot of good candidates out there and there are only so many openings.

Is there anyone the fan base could come to a consensus on?

Depends on how many games we win next season. I'd be ok if Tbaum himself coached the team if we win 11 games.

This fan base ?

No way ...

Some people dislike Parker and think he was a horrible pick
Some people say Landry is immature
Some people say Tannehill is literally the worst QB in the entire league which is idiotic
Some people say Suh is a terrible DT and the reason for all of our defensive problems .....

I mean. All you have to do is read some of these comments to realize that this fan base is never happy with anything . Never hopeful about anything .

We have some idiots saying " next year is already over also " . Without knowing who the coach will be or what offseason moves will be make or players drafted .

No , there isn't any coach that will make Miami fans happy .

Not unless they win, as it should be. Anyone the Dolphins hire will come with question marks, and unfortunately this Dolphins braintrust has proven to be dysfunctional in the past so will not be afforded a benefit of doubt. But it doesn't matter if fans get behind the hire initially or not, all that matters is that the hire is the RIGHT one and that they win eventually. Winning will win over those fans who initially didn't like the hire.

Have we considered Don Shula's clone ... in his prime?

No coach will make everyone happy.

Personally, I actually see a lot of coaches available right now that I would be interested in. I mentioned this in Vaark's thread, but Rob Chudzinski is available right now and I think he is a tremendously underrated coach who got a raw deal in Cleveland. I'd call him up.

Nope. Somebody will dislike whomever we hire. I will give them a chance even if not my first choice

He does deserve another shot for sure. He is one I would be content with.

No and it's understandable. This team has created a very bitter fanbase and lots of negativity. How do you unite the fanbase and get us all in the same page? Win games, make the Playoffs. Doesn't matter which coach can do it, just get it done.

Winning would satisfy the fan base...

the problem is that if we win which I hope happens...

then T-bomb will be even more impossible to deal with behind the scenes than he is right now

No and Ross and brought this upon himself.

What this team needed was a clean start, get rid of all the coaches, scouts everything. Instead we have brought in a failed ex GM, added him to the mix and promoted someone from within the awful FO, I and many others have no faith in the people picking the coach or the new players. A clean start for both the team and the fanbase was needed, not more of the same

We should have a new GM, picking a new coach, picking a new coaching staff to coach players picked by a new scouting staff. New fresh ideas from people without the Dolphins failure taint.

But we have none of that, and we have a poisonous man on a power trip running the show - which makes this a less desirable job for coaches, again. Cheers Steve :rolleyes2:

I've got just the guy ...

Screw BB - Let's go after the real hoodie!

... Then again, people will probably complain that he's too old, and past his prime. Not to mention he failed in his last assignment. :chuckle:
