Jake Long, Brandon Marshall, and Karlos Dansby are the only three players on this team who aren't horrible. Can anybody explain how the Dolphins manage to spend over $100 million on a team this bad? Is it just that 95% of the roster is grossly overpaid?

I can't for the life of me figure out where the money actually goes.

Vernon Carey is making about 7 mil a year. Soliai 12 mil this year. Bell I think is getting 6. Vontae and Odrick have first round contracts. Bush is making a little money.

I had no idea Soliai was getting that much. That's crazy. I guess I should've expected the first-round picks would be owed money. They get paid even if they are bad (I thought Odrick was a terrible pick, and I'm a PSU grad).

To the wost team in the league.

That much is obvious.

I was just operating under the assumption that if your team performs like the Florida Marlins, they should probably be paid like the Florida Marlins. The Yankees can "underachieve" by not winning the World Series, but they still win the division (or least make the playoffs).

The Dolphins are apparently just setting large quantities of cash on fire.

Then operate under this assumption players get paid win or lose.
