No facts. Just a thought.

Do you guys think Cam Cameron can revive Harrington's career?

We've all seen what Harrington can do when he brings his "A" game. There's no doubt he has the arm to be a starting QB in the NFL, but he seems to lack other QB Mechanics. With Cameron having the ability to develop QB's, do you guys think maybe he can revive Harrington's career?? Or do you guys think Cameron will simply give up on Harrington and look for someone else to develop as his starter??

I just think that with an offensive-minded head coach, that has the ability to develop QB's, maybe we can create something in Harrington. I just think it would come at a cheaper price than having to trade, sign or draft another QB.

I'm not saying I'm giving up on C-Pepp either, but I just don't think C-Pepp will be Cameron's type of QB, not to mention we have to hope for the best in his recovery, "IF" he even recovers. It has to be of concern that its taking him an entire NFL season (and then some) to recovery from a nasty injury.

Maybe Cameron will try to revive Harrington's career and help work on Joey's Mechanics....

It just seems to me that most Phin fans (including myself) have already gave up on Harrington, but we may be able to make use of him with a new coach....

What do you guys think?

Stranger things have happened, but I doubt it. Right now, Harrington isn't even guaranteed to make the team and I would prefer that we just let him go and grab a qb in the draft.

Not a chance. The guy has to have one of the softest and inaccurate throws that I have ever seen. Nothing to do with mechanics, just the way he is and always will be.

Starting him for a 16 game season will get you 15 tds and 20 int's. No thanks, get rid of him.

I think revive denotes it was ever "alive"

The question is can Cam develop Joey. Yes I said development because he's never had a stellar year.

I think the majority of the people want to see what Culpepper could really do 100% healthy rather than give Joey another chance..

Still, no one really knows what exactly Cam will do this early into the offseason, but I hope he parts ways with Joey and hands the team to Culpepper and drafts a QB.

I think Cam will focus on Lemon first. He is the x factor. Harrington showed that he is serviceable and daunte did the same but for the money they both will be making they are major disapointments.

I think Joey's problems are both physical and mental. There is obviously something wrong mechanically because he is not as accurate as he should be with his passes, especially throwing downfield. But much like some people say they thought Daunte looked confused, Joey did to in a way to me.

Actually it was more a scared looked. He didn't seem to even bother looking downfield a lot of the time. I don't know if that was the gameplan or the result of our Oline. But his tendency to dump off a lot was a criticism of him in Detroit and it seems to have followed him to Miami. I think that could be a very difficult mental hurdle to overcome.

Cam might be able to fix the physical part. But the mental part will be a lot more difficutl IMO.

first, i think a lack of arm strength is harrington's biggest problem, and that is something that cant be coached...

also, culpepper's injury is somethign that takes two years to recover from. e.g. willis mcgahee

:yeahthat:

there was a running joke in my house where you'd be impersonating Joey by pretending to throw the ball and make a high pitch scream at the same time and saying "I dont want this crap you take it aaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

good post. I agree.

i think that he didnt throw deep by design. its obvious he cannot throw accurately downfield. the staff adjusted by not really giving him that option. it really hurt chambers' performance, and handicapped the offense.

highly doubt it. harrington is one of the biggest underacievers and will not live up to his potential

I tend to think it was by design as well. They had to realize how pathetic our passing offense was. So why would they not adjust unless they thought it wouldn't get any better?

I think it was the same way with Culpepper. They realized that the line couldn't protect him long enough and also that he couldn't compensate for that.

Say what you will about Blue Skies, but he has a strong arm. You want to say he's scared or lacks confidence, that's fine, but the guy has a good arm.
