If Culpepper is healthy and do to his knee injury isnt as mobile as years past. Can Cam Camron alter his game and convert him into a Pocket Passer. Daunte has the arm but can Cam help him read defenses better and help him get rid of the ball faster.... I think it is the only way Culpepper stays a Dolphin. If Cam can work with this guy, If Cam cant he will be gone..... Camron realizes the #1 way to win in the NFL is to have a Franchise QB....

So does every other franchises in the NFL, except for the Lions.

Culpepper is already a pocket Qb.

I'm sure he can be fine tuned but the real question should be can he come back 100% the ol Daunte Culpepper?

I'm assuming you mean that post-injury right? Becuase one of his best strengths before that was the ability to scramble. Isn't he the only QB to have a 4,000yd + throwing and 800yd + rushing season in the same year?

No, it was 400 yards. But Daunte used his mobility to extend the play with his mobility and give his recievers more time to get open. Theres a BIG diferance between using your mobility to do good things and just running like Vick does. Daunte already is a pocket QB, he just moves around in it better than most and can take off if needed. Passing for 4000 yards proves your capable of being a pocket passer.

That's the million dollar question

Well said.

As Adam says that it the million dollar answer but, perhaps the better question is this " Can Cam either create a playbook to make DC effective on this team or replace him with someone who can be? " I think that is the real question here not if DC can be benefical or not but more so what can Cam build out of what he has inhierted here. This is a coaching challenge and will be very telling in how good of a coach we drafted.

Im not a DC fan but I understand he is an above average QB in the NFL when being used propperly. I want to see if Cam figures out how to build an offense around his talent or bring in talent to fit his offense. I dont care which as long as it translates into "W's".

The team is pretty well set for a power running game to take the pressure off him like Daunte's NEVER had. He needs to practice play-action passing that's for sure. In fact the one guy I'd love to get would be Jimmy Kleinsasser because he can move into a FB role as well as play TE whenever you need him to. He can flat out level.

That's the question everyone's asking. He'll need to be a pocket passer to survive in this league as Donovan McNabb has shown. I don't think you can really teach pocket presense, it's something either acquired a long time ago or innate. That's why someone like Brady Quinn, who can be effective under a horrible OL, is intriguing. That's why Peyton, even under a bad OL and having a bad season, still looks better than Eli.

Interesting that we have a QB who takes too much time (Daunte) and a QB who takes too little time (Joey) on the same roster. Too bad we can't just even it out between the two.

Daunte and Ronnie are well set for each other however because Daunte loves to dump it off to guys on screens and keep things moving. Just keep doing that and running the ball extremely well and then turn his arm loose for a deepball to Chambers.
