Not to get suckered by the Lions and the Giants? Especially if Dolphins want Tua and Chargers want Herbert. Could there be such trust amongst GMs? Just wondering. I doubt other teams such a the Jaguars moving up since it’ll cost way too much.
 
Too much conflict of interests to execute such a maneuver.

Can’t/shouldn’t trust anyone this time of year.
 
It would be nice if teams could work together but it's a pipe dream lol. The moment we tell the Chargers " Hey, we want a QB and don't want to trade up for one. You want a QB too? Let's not trade up and get the QB we want".

The chargers will likely tell Lions or Redskins to lower the trade price lol
 
I think I understand the question, I just don’t understand the reasoning of the question.

If I’m understanding this unlikely conversation correctly, Dolphins call up the Chargers, and one of the teams says “hey we really like Tua, you’re not taking him, right?” and the other team says “oh no man, you’re good, we want Herbert.”

And then they form a BFF pact, saying that neither team will trade up? Well if the Chargers want the QB that we don’t, we don’t really care if they trade up or not, right?

Ok, carrying on with this scenario, this new Justice League agrees to team up, nobody trades up.... except the Patriots for Tua because neither of the other teams would get suckered into a trade
 
Lol. What kind of deal? There is only 1 person they would want to move ahead of us for and he is the guy we want the most.

That would essentially be a trade for Tua. I am not trading Tua without a very hefty offer.
 
Please, no deal to be had. We need to stay at 5 and let it play out. All these picks, no need to be desperate now.
 
We don’t even know if the Chargers want Tua or any other QB

There is trust. Draft system would implode if teams we t back on an agreement. But I doubt this would happen
 
The Phins can trade down 1 spot for a third round pick and then draft BPA with #6 pick. then trade up to get LOVE.
 
IF the two teams were run by very close friends who did not want the same player then this scenario could work.

So no.

The dolphins are not trading up for Tua he will be there at pick 5 I’d bet money on it
