Can Fins linebackers carry the D ?

The good thing about the 4/3 is Wake has his hand on the ground and it's full speed to the QB. It pissed me off anytime I saw him in coverage last year.
I'd say front 7 not just D line. They are strength of the team not just the defense.

The Dolphin Linebackers are going to be monsters this year. Although we played a 4 man line a lot last year so it isn't such a big change!!!!

No chance. we have been so weak at linebacker for so long. I'm sorry Dansby didn't do it for me. Misi is a joke in coverage, and we don't have a real threat at pass rush.

I really think for our defense to take that next step we need someone like Kaddu to step up. I just don't think Guyton is going to be very good, although I see Koa being worse. I really don't want to see Koa on the team this time next year. He is never takes the correct angle and has a hard time setting a firm edge. You see him making the same mistakes over and over, doesn't seem very coachable. But he makes up for all that by being even worse at rushing the passer.

If Kaddu shows anything in TC it wouldn't surprise me to see Koa as one of the surprise cuts.

you do realize that misis responsibiities are gonna change as a 43 will backer right...

We need a true 4-3 linebacker. Just someone who can be consistant. I know finding a John Beason or Pat Willis is very rare, but I would be happy with another Morlon Greenwood. Someone who is consistant and can cover tight ends.

Bad example. Morlon Greenwood averaged 45 tackles and 1 sack per year with Fins. I'm looking for 100 + tackles. Barnett and Dansby should be very good and Misi should do better with Odrick or Vernon playing end on his side. They played well at the end of last season after Burnett learned the system. I think they'll be fine.

I really don't care if Koa is on the team come next year but he is a decent football player........he was never a pass rusher in college... so Jeff thinking he would become one in the nfl was just one of his many brain farts.

But he could be a decent 4-3 OLB

He's decent in coverage and tackles well so I think he'll do fine. Yea , Jeff thought he had a pass rusher. Too bad but I see him behind Odrick or Vernon and that looks pretty good against the run. Let the ends do the pass rush.

I predict Misi at playing better in the 4-3. He wont hve to worry so much about rushing the QB and can focus more on what he is solid at. This move to the 4-3 fits our fornt 7 personnel better than Nolans D. the question marks will be the pressure opposite Wake and the secondary.

I just hope they can cover those NE tight ends this year. That got absolutely demolished in both games last year giving up 24 catches for over 300 yards to the 2 tight ends.

That is an issue across the league at the moment with the emergence of highly athletic, giant TEs catching the NFL by surprise. I expect to see a dip in production from the likes of Gronk and Graham this year as the league comes up with ways to limit them. But you are right Dansby et al. need to make some big steps when it comes to coverage in general.
