I know he has to sit the 1st 4 games of the regular season, but does anyone know if he is eligible to play in the preseason? I'm kind of anxious to see him play?:D

he can particapate in preason and camp just once week one starts he cant even parctice can only join the team again in week 6

He'll play in pre-season - Ronnie will play in the first four regulation games.

he can join the team after the week 4 game so he will be with them week 5 for prac even tho they dont play

ima go on record and say that we wont see ricky till week 6....both saban and ricky stressed the fact that he has two months to get into the proper shape

not to be rude but lol i think this is like the second thread today about this, wait no i think maybe that one was whether it was a 4 week or 4 game suspension, either way he'll be playing pre-season and should be more then back in shape for the regualr season with sitting out 4 games

Why would they wait longer than they have to? Is it that they think he will need the extra time? Maybe just taking pressure off him? Or is our bye week 5? I know it's around there.

Our bye week is week 4. I don't know how that figures into the equation. We probably won't see him until week 6 because I don't know if a bye week counts as far as his suspension is concerned.

Ricky's suspension explained in a nutshell:

For now, Ricky can do anything with the team which includes playing in preseason games. Once the preseason is over with his suspension will start. It should also be noted that Ricky cannot have any contact with the team(this includes practices) until after his 4 games are up. A bye week doesn't count as one of his games suspended. Ricky's first game will be against the Bucs.

just a gut feeling...he'll prolly play in a preseason game i dunno....i just got a gut feeling that week 6 will be his first time running the ball.

4 game suspension...then we have the bye week

I can't wait until he returns against the Bucs I think we should make Ricky Williams a third down back and give him half the carries in the first half just to wear down the defense a bit and keep Ronnie fresh for the second half.
