As pleased I am that we have a very productive WR tandem, I can't help but feel it would be so much better if we actually ran an offense that threatens teams vertically, not horizontally. But of course, that won't happen until we have a new offense/OC.

This Chip Kelly style offense was supposed to be a great thing. Except we took the most "attacking" aspect of it (the frenetic pace) and locked it away, then lost the key. Without the no-huddle and fast-pace, it's a dink and dunk offense that pads QB and WR stats but fails to do any real damage (unless you have one of those days where you house every play, thanks Texans). I can't imagine a single defensive coordinator that is phased by Lazor's offense, but everyone knows they are up for a challenge when facing Kelly's offense, even if it is just about managing personnel and substitutions.

Has anyone ever asked Lazor why they don't run the no-huddle? Have we ever gotten a decent answer? Is it because Lazor thinks we'd be too prone to mistakes with our dumb O-line? Are our guys not in good enough shape to do it? Can RT not run it?

I just don't get it. :ponder:

He oversaw a faster offense that made space for playmakers and took advantage of mismatches.

But he could do only so much with the personnel he inherited. This season, the Dolphins have brought in bigger red-zone threats in 6-foot-5 tight end Jordan Cameron and 6-3 rookie receiver DeVante Parker, who is recovering from foot surgery.

They traded for receiver Kenny Stills, who replaces Mike Wallace as the team’s deep threat but is a stronger route runner. They also signed veteran Greg Jennings, a former Pro Bowl receiver.

It’s a lot of new faces for Lazor, but he said it all starts with his quarterback and center, who already have a year of experience in the offense.

“We’re gonna go as fast as Ryan Tannehill and Mike Pouncey can go,” Lazor said. “The other guys got to keep up.”

That's a crock

Lol nothing fast paced about the offense aside from the time elapsed until we have to send out Matt Darr for the most part

Bill Lazor is terrible, he never even attempts pace. There's no evidence that Tannehill can't handle it. In fact when we run the 2 minute no huddle, the team does BETTER
