The unbeaten New Orleans Saints aren't just pounding people.
They haven't even been tested yet in racing out to a 5-0 start behind an offense averaging an NFL-best 38.4 points per game.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, have already played two Monday night games that went down to the final play. Dolphins linebacker Akin Ayodele believes that experience can work to his team's advantage come Sunday.
"We've really faced adversity early in this season," he said. "I think it has put us in a better situation when certain things come about that we're prepared. Mentally we're prepared. We know how to deal with it."
Through five games, the Drew Brees-led Saints have yet to allow their margin of victory to dip below 14 points (24-10 against the Jets). They have yet to trail for even a single one of the 300 minutes they have played.
In fact, the latest any team has even been tied with the Saints was 43 seconds before halftime. The Eagles, after pulling even at 10-10, went on to lose 48-22 at home in Week 4.
Could the Saints blink if the Dolphins drag them into a close game in the fourth quarter?
"That's what we're shooting for: the fact that maybe nobody has pushed them." Ayodele said. "We're not the team that's going to just sit back and let them come on our home turf and push us around."
