a Depleted Secondary? We need players to step up!! im scared teams like Indy and Cincy and Other passing teams that will tear up the seondary!!

It really bothers me!! i think we are strong up the middle and we have great LB"S!! The only thing that scares me is that Secondary!!

Can Miami win games with a young secondary ?

I hope if we do win games it wont be like 34-28 or 27-24

Thoughts?

look at the jags game for your answer.the jags didnt burn any of our starters they burnt our second string though pretty good. we will upgrade though in the next couple of games. youll see guys released by other teams signed right here in miami. just because a guy doesnt work out in one place dont mean he wont work out here. look to all the new coaches such as the saints,lions,jets,etal.................what i mean is say the old coach was building for a cover2 and the new coach wants a 3'4' a guy might suck in the cover2 but excel in the 3'4' and vice versa.:wink:
 
yea they didnt burn any of our starters...i mean, will allen isnt a starter.

No, but I dont think we have a depleted secondary just one that hasnt played together very long
 
Dom...it was our FIRST ballgame with an entirely NEW unit in place... don't be freaking out, everything will be fine. It will take until prolly mid-season to work out the bugs, using last year as the model. Until then, people are going to be doom and glooming..ignore them. The louder these guys scream about the secondary at this point the more obvious it becomes the don't have a clue. Be glad our coach had the balls to make such a wholesale change all at once and don't lose focus of the fact that THIS is his specialty. He worked absolute magic last year hiding and disguising our d backfield's weaknesses. THIS year I expect steady improvement well past last years effort. We will be dominant by mid-season.

yeah allen is a starter, Ive seen a couple people post that he isnt when it comes to gameday he will start
 
Depleted secondary? The problems in the secondary (in the first preseason game) were mostly mental mistakes and should be correctable. As many have said before, it will take time for the secondary to gel. Just give them some time to do so.

Give the guys some time to get it together, if our D line can get more pressure on opposing QB's it will take some of the pressure off of our secondary. Nick specializes in the secondary, he'll get 'em together, especially when he moves Zach to SS!:wink:
 
Great defensive line = even better secondary.

You get pressure on the qb, he throws ints. Simple as that. I'll be mad at taylor, carter, traylor, and vonny if qbs get off long passes, not our secondary. We already know our secondary isn't the best, and so does our d line, in the regualar season they know they have to get to the QB.
 
wait until we get Daniels on the field than we will be good, our starters did well. we won the game 10-0 with both teams starters on the field and we had an INT. Goodman (who started for Daniels) played very well and so did Eddie Jackson who had the INT

yeah J.Allen blew it but give him the next couple games to learn and he will be good for the regular season, kids got mad talent
