Will a great 3rd Preseason game by Gase, Tannehill, the first team offense and defense quiet those who feel negatively about the team and feel as though this team is headed for a losing record or will they just say "It's only preseason; it doesn't matter"?

Well, I mean the Eagles were shut out last night, does that change anyone's mind that they are no longer the favorites to at least win the east if not make another appearance in the Super Bowl?

I sure hope so, I honestly think it is possible this year... I really do.

Well, so far the ones that feel good about the team have said that it's only pre season so if we play a great game on Saturday night I'd hope that those same people will say it's only pre season as well. You can't say it's only pre season when they look bad but that it really matters when they look good. Is that fair?

Having said that, this is the one game of the pre season that can tell us the most about the team. So for the team looking good it'd be a good thing but if they look bad on this one then that's not a good thing either.

Eagles won the bowl with a back up qb, i think they get some slack.

We havent won in almost 35 years and we shouldnt expect same ol

Can they quiet the Naysayers?

No

We have the best Naysayer / Debbie Downer / Doom N Gloomers / in the business. They'll bitch even after a win. We can put up 28 points and they'll whine we didn't put up 30. We can score 30 points and they'll complain our defense didn't couldn't stop a high school team. We can get 4 field goals win the game and the'll want someone's head because we didn't score TD's in the redzone.

I'll put our naysayers against anyones with one hand tied behind their back!

Does not matter one way or the other, it is pre-season, there is little planning, the 1st team also plays little, other the this week.

So far between the Dolphins, Titans, Broncos, Cowboys, Eagles, Lions, Falcons, and Seahawks, there have been 0 wins.

What happens Saturday will be enlightening to us fans, because we will see how the Dolphins's 1st team is able to perform straight up against the Ravens 1st team for at least a half...don't expect anyone outside Dolphin nation to change their minds if Miami 1st team looks good.

Yeah the fans shouldn't be complaining about anything. After all, we did win a super bowl 45 YEARS ago so we need to cut the team some slack, right?

LOL

Also important to celebrate the well supplied amount of " Blind A** Fans" who can take the last 20 years and feel comfortable making remarkable excuses (of so called porgress) to justify watching the same failures of a franchise that was one of the Greatests ever, denigrating into a franchise with possibly the same amount of questionable qualities as 20 years ago...20 YEARS of EXCUSES and we are Naysayers...NO we're just not blind and the Continuous failure not acceptable in our book. I guess some people don't need to experience failure for 20 years to feel possibly somethings not right......At what point of failure will some of you begin to feel maybe? maybe something is not right with this organization, I know, I know will give ya another 20 years.......lol

Ya we scored no TD in the red zone but made the field goals and usually against odds won a game..... By George it time for a parade down Biscayne Blvd. Wow what a team superbowl here we come RIGHT ? And thanks to the opponents for being even more of a failure....(hope we haven't turned into them yet cause I think the Browns maybe off that list)
( better line it up fast before the next game when the odds of just field goals are again the more realistic effect of losing and we're blown out 28 to 9...)

The first quarter should be interesting when the 1's face each other. I would enjoy seeing the opening drive go for a TD but more important than anything is get out healthy. After that, I'd like to see a clean game as far as penalties and I don't want to hear that we keep shooting ourselves in the foot! As I said before, STOP DOING THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to see Frank Gore out there for a couple of carries. He adds real toughness to our offense much like Knowshon Moreno would have done for us had he not been injured. Gore will be huge for us in big games down the stretch with his power running and winning attitude. He's an on the field leader. I envision Drake and Gore on the field at the same time. Split Drake out and design a cool package around both players skills.

Pessimism as a defense against disappointment.

Nay saying is to be expected from a fan base whose team has only been to the playoffs two times in the past 16 seasons and both of those led to getting demolished and physically manhandled in the wild card games in which the team showed those two winning seasons were as much as anything else a product of very soft schedules those two years.

Also the fan base an up close look playing a team twice a year in our own division that has been to the playoffs 16 years out of 17 (11-5 record the year they didn't go), gone to 8 Super Bowls and won 5 of them it can be a little disheartening.

I would also say that the quality of play is often not pleasing to the eye. When Marino was playing it was fun to watch. From 1966 to 1995 Miami had a top 11 scoring offense 25 of those 30 years. Since 2004 Miami not had a top 10 scoring offense even once and 9 times has been 26th or worse in PPG.

If our defense was consistently dominant like it might be different. Our defense has certainly been better than our offense overall the past 16 years but far from the defense from 66 to 84 in which they were top 9 PPG allowed every year but one.

Of course will always have some naysayers no matter what as that can be a mindset. However, if Miami makes winning a habit and playoffs a habit again while putting a product on the field that is pleasing to the eye a significant amount of naysayers will become hey-sayers...Hey did you see that TD by...Hey, did you see that incredible hit by Fitzpatrick...etc...
