Can things get worse?

Um, no way. He is in the process of destroying UP.

Drafting Eddie Moore over Anquan Boldin > Mike Shula as Head Coach.

well its not like the high profile coaches have worked out for us either

Cry me a river.

Wayne and company are going to hire the best candidate availible. Why dont any of you understand that obviously Gailey and Mora are better candidates then anyone else. They actually know how to be head coaches. not just coordinators.

I was pretty excited when the Dolphins hired Saban - and we all know where that went.

I could care less for either Gailey or Mora.

I really have no idea if any of these guys would be good for the team.

It could always get worse...but not too much worse.

With the introduction of Shula into the mix, Mora and Gailey are starting to look a lot better. This would be a disastrous decision for the following reasons:

1. The Obvious: He has no pro head coaching experience, and was largely mediocre in his college stint at Alabama. As I remember, he didn't exactly set the world on fire as our QB coach, either.

2. How do we fire him?: If he is as bad as I anticipate, how hard will it be to fire the son of the Don? We risk doing serious damage to the team's connection with Don Shula if we oust his son.

3. No one else wants him: This may be reducing it simplistic terms, but I think it says something that we may hire a guy that no one else has even sniffed for a job interview. I think it at least says something about a guy if he's in some demand.

If the organization thinks this will "re-energize the fan base," then they themselves are WAY off base. This hiring would really be nothing more than an attempt to bring in someone who is trustworthy with roots in the organization after being jilted so dishonestly by Nick Saban.

IMO.

Life works in funny ways. We were all psyched for saban, and he did nothing.

I bet we'll hate whoever they hire, and that coach will take us to the playoffs.

I hope your right.

Let's face it, we don't know jack about coaches. We loved it when Jimmy came in, and look what happened. The guy ended up crying on his way out, and worsened things by leaving us Wanny.

Then we get Saban and everyone, including myself was psyched. We all know what happened after that.

So who knows? Big name guys have gotten us nowhere, so who is to say Gailey, Mora or even Shula can't get it done?

Wanny's actually doing pretty good in Pitt. But I dont want him back.

Glad you don't want him back. Maybe destroy was a little harsh.

In 2006, they only beat one decent team, Cincinnati. I feel the trend has begun, just like every other stop he's had. Nice guy, bad coach.
