If Joe Toledo was put on the PUP list does that mean he can't be cut?:confused2

We need to keep Toledo so our doctors can have thier practice.

I dont know, but I was reading today Toledo is still in a boot. The guys has had no luck the last two years. I seriously think that Esera makes the team behind Hadnot and if Toledo remains injured Wilson might as well.

All I got to say is Johnathon Scott. Possible starting RT for the Lions started 4 games last year and appeared in 13 which is way more than Toledo and Alabi have appeared or played in thier career.

The person we should have drafted over Toledo. I said this the day of the draft and of course got flamed but I will take a guy that plays over a workout warrior anyday.

Oh gotcha:wink:

You must be tired carrying that axe around all day.... :)

If we bring Kendall or another OL player, then we'll probably cut Toledo.

He is on the PUP list so he cannot practice. They put him there to open up a roster spot. Up until the first game he can become active at any time, but after the first game he is shut down for 6 weeks. After that the team has until week 10 to activate him. If they do not then he goes to injured reserve.

If he is injured there is no reason to cut him. He will get paid no matter what. If you cut a player injured while Preping for football or playing for football the team is liable to pay his salary until the player recovers and receives a clean bill of health. SO if you really want Joe gone we need to wait until he's healthy and then cut him...

He's getting paid the minimum salary and he had a small signing bonus. He's very little drain on the team compared to the possible ability he has shown.
