I wont get into a lengthy rant about politics in general... BECAUSE IT DOESNT BELONG HERE.
BUT, Im wondering... whats up with all of the political sigs? Can we keep the politics to buck fush.com or flipfloppers r'us.com? I mean, I know its an election year, and I love the fact that people love our country, but if were going to get political, we might as well get religious too (which I guess couldnt hurt seeing as wanny needs all the help he can get), but will it actually benefit the site?
I hate to read a good insightful post only to be blasted with some political ad at the bottom of it. Its worse than a pop up. And you cant ignore them... they're right there! The mods dont allow foul language, or sexually explicit material, but they allow political ads?
I mean, what part of politics isnt foul language to one side or the other? When I want some liberal views Ill go to michale moores site. If im feeling conservative Ill turn on FOX, but when I come here... I DONT WANT EITHER.
In another thread I read a post talking about voting, and I was like WTF? Unless its voting on whether or not WH or DW is at fault for our teams dissaray, I dont want to read it... on a football site. I laughed at another post that read "I dont vote... it encourages politicians". But that too stirs peoples up.
So please, for the sake of GOD, COUNTRY, AND FOOTBALL... lets keep the politics to bumper stickers, and out of FOOTBALL. Political verbage on the bottom of a post isnt going to sway someone from one side to another... people have known who they will vote for since January... so PLEASE... at least consider it.
"To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people, is a chimerical idea."*
