Ross is worth $7 Billion. Does he really need the money naming rights bring in? Can we just go back and honor a man who used his own money to build the Stadium? Joe Robbie deserves better!

Amen.
Call it Don Shula Field at Dolphin Stadium and be done with it.

Considering what a popular location it is I'd enjoy a nice neutral name. Sure FAU and concerts don't really warrant it. But the Miami Hurricanes and the Orange Bowl game have a very proud, respected, history. Playing at "Dolphins Stadium" was terrible.

It's never going back to Joe Robbie. Something that sums up South Florida or simply Miami Stadium would be just great.

In today's business world, if you can receive 7.5 million per year to defray expenses, tradition takes a back seat.

He's worth that on paper. Actually liquid capital that can be paid to people is a different thing.

Sun Life is a great name. I supported Landshark and I support Sun Life. They can name the ****ing stadium "Dookie Diaper stadium" if it helps us win.

Lets see...Bring in 7 mil or not..........

Gosh...I dunno. I think I might do it.

By the way...I love how all you guys are so quick to tell people how to run the biz. How many Dolphins home games have you been to? How much money to you contribute to the Dolphins?

J Lo has been to more home games than most of you and has contributed more to this team than most of you as well.

Ross is making money and maximizing cash flow. Is "Sun Life" stadium really that bad?

That is a great idea but you cannot name the field of an NFL stadium like you can in college. Rob Geoffroy of the Falcons came into my sports econ class down here and i asked why you couldnt name a filed and he is it is against the NFL league rules that the only thing that can be displayed on the field are the team and its logos and NFL and NFL stuff like NFL.com and all that

You mean like Mall of America Field,at the Metrodome or Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium or Bill Walsh Field at Candlestick

I like the new name. It might be the best sounding name yet. Joe Robbie had something special about it. But this is clearly a financial partnership. And that's fine, as long as the name fits and they can stay in that partnership to keep it that way for awhile. I like the new name.

It fits with Miami I think. It's great I think. I was kinda "Meh" with Landshark....I got it and I supported it, but this is good name that I like.

I think Ross is doing a fantastic job so far. All you want from an owner is to keep money flowing, and, to whip out the checkbook when the time is right.
