Major surprise in the first BCS standings of the year as Miami, not OU is at #2.

shouldnt be too much of a surprise almost all of the mock bcs rankings had us number two for a while. we should be, i mean we beat the number 5 team as well as louisville who should be higher. other than texas oklahoma hasnt beat any solid competition.

The problem is that, unless UM can move up in the human polls, we've pretty much maxed out our rating. The computers love Miami, as we're number 1 in that portion of the ratings. OU, on the other hand, has a relatively low computer rating currently. IF they (and USC) continue to win, their computer score will improve and (ultimately) they will overtake UM in the BCS poll.

Having said that, everyone has at least 6 games left, and I'd be very surprised if more than 2 teams finish undefeated. History is a good (hopefully) indication of the likelihood of that happening.
