Canes shoot all the way way to #9 in polls

should be higher then that wait until we dominate the Hokies, they barely beat Nebraska I was happy they did though cause now we can still beat them when they are ranked
 
and preseason rankings are a joke if miami was ranked high in the preseason they would be #1 right now. you can't agrue any team is playing better then Miami as of right now. I know the Gators always start out a bit slow but you can't be #1 if you arent playing well right now
 
Yeah, Miami should be ranked higher due to how well they're playing. I'd say a fair place for them is #4 (behind UF, Texas, and Alabama).

Whatever jumping we need to do, has to be done after we beat Oklahoma, because our schedule softens up a bit (although we'd still have Clemson, UNC, and some in-state 'rivals', and the ACCCG). I think our best shot is having Florida lose to an unexpected team (FSU maybe?) and have them beat everyone else, because Texas doesn't really play anybody. Although maybe Oklahoma will play them pretty tough after losing to us. :)
 
R u kidding? U guys went from unranked to #9 in what? 2-3 games. How much more respect do you want? Just run the table and then u guys will have a legit beef if your not #1. Because ur schedule is tough I give you guys that much.

the thing is i think Texas or Florida will have to lose before people put miami up in the top 2 spots, Texas doesnt have many challenges on their schedule. If you ask me Alabama and Miami are the top two teams in the country

no problem... i mean not saying u guys are gonna run the table..(you have yet to play us :) lol) but if you do run the table.. i really dont care who else is undefeated. florida, texas, bama... u guys should be in the BCS championship.. i feel you gotta reward those teams that take their schedule to the next level and i fell miami did that this year.

All we can do is play our brutal schedule. If the media wants to think one thing one day, and another thing the next, that's up to them. They can enjoy the roller coaster ride all they want. We, on the other hand, have another very, very tough game coming up. Wish we could play all the cupcakes like just about everyone else.
 
You play in the ACC,how many more cupcakes you want?

I would without a shadow of a doubt take Alabama's schedule 100 times over than our schedule this year. Florida International, North Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Chattanooga...are you kidding me????? We've already played as many ranked teams as are on your schedule, and I wouldn't be surprised if UNC and USF are ranked when we play them too. Cupcakes on our schedule - Duke, UVa, UCF, FAMU. MUCH rather have Alabama's schedule.

Those "cupcakes" on Alabama's schedule are the same caliber teams that keeps beating up on the ACC every weekend....:lol:.....hell...even the 1-AA's are getting in on the fun....

You play in the ACC.....how much easier do you want it?

Last time I checked....Alabama smashed VT in the mouth until they made them say "uncle"....

Kinda like what VT did to Miami Saturday....
