Saban did hire him, and some how in his head believed he could hire an NFL OC with his own system to run the same system as another NFL OC that just left and expect it to work.

Saban as the head coach is responsible for every aspect of the team. its his responsiblity to dictate the gameplan and make sure it is executed. If Saban wanted to run more he would tell Mularkey to run more and emphasis the run. The problem is he has no history with offense. Saban is a one dimensional coach, if that.

Not sure you can be less then one dimensional?.

In hindsight, I wish we promoted from within. But you can't blame Saban for hiring a guy with a proven track record of success.

Track record of success? When Mularkey was hired, he was getting canned from the Bills! :tantrum:

Who was worthy of promting Baggert or Garret, have we seen any real improvement from QB or Wr this season.

Absolutely true.

But you can't blame Saban, either. Why? Because there are too many to blame.

Blame the secondary.
Blame the OC.
Blame the HC.
Blame the QB.
Blame the o-line.
Blame the WRs for dropped passes.
Blame the TE for dropped passes.
Blame special teams.
Blame Mare.

There is no single one reason why the Fins are losing.

Do some research.

Pittsburgh Steelers:
13-3 in 2001 with Mularkey as their OC.
10-5-1 in 2002 with Mularkey as their OC.
6-10 in 2003 with Mularkey as their OC.

Not so good as a head coach (9-7 and 5-11) but we ain't talking about his head coaching skills. We're talking about his play-calling.

I believe in what you said

We love to blame MUlarkey and others but somehow Saban is free of blame. This makes no sense.

Saban is not free of blame. But he ain't the only one making mistakes.

Mularkey has excelled in calling plays that keep the defense off balance..but his type of plays are normall slow developing plays wich obviously wih our garbage OL he cannot call....that toss sweep with the pulling gurad he always runs on 3rd and short should be ripped outta the playbook.:fire:

All this stat shows is that once Mularkey gets his crapp-*** playcalling to a team, they start doing worse and worse. Look at the record...his first year the team usually does good and then the steady decline starts. He better be gone next year because if these stats justify anything, we won't win one game next year.
