I want to.........but I just can't get excited about the new Coaching hires or anything for that matter until Rick Spielman has been kicked to curb with cab fare to the Miami Airport. This guy is not only a constant reminder of how bad the decisions were the past few years but he is also an arrogant ******* that refuses to take responsibility for what he has done. The players don't respect him and I wish Nick Saban would paste a set of his size 10's on his butt . That would be the #1 indicator that this team is heading in the right direction. :yell: :shakeno:

Way to use your first post to bash Rick. Well done! We don't completely know yet whether his decisions were bad or not. Will Poole, Bua, Pope are all looking good. Jury is still out on AJ and Carey. Overall he didn't do a bad job.

uh oh Stamos...someone's gonna be in trouble...watch your back for the forum linebacker:goof:

Jury is still out on Rick. If he rocks during this draft as a "consultant" to Saban and shows that he and the rest of the personnel staff have done their homework...and...if he shows that he is ready to morph to Sabans approach to player evaluation...then he probably has a strong chance to stay on, IMO.

What will we accomplish by releasing rick? Just your silly little hatred to anything related to our bad year.

What it will accomplish is a great eye for talent. Hee doesnt have the final say anymore. How could having him just for talent scouting hurt us?

Agreed. RS isn't and wasn't the whole problem here. Just be glad RW split to start this whole ball rolling. We're better off, hell the season is behind us now and the future is looking better everyday!

Concur.

I would also to add that Rick may remain as the capologist. If nothing else, he's been good in that capacity over the years.

I'll give ya Bua. Guy shows a ton of promise if he can healthy and be durable. I'll give Carey another shot............but AJ was a waste of a HIGH 2nd round draft pick. My biggest problem with RS is not his ability to pick talent(although I am quite skeptical of that as well) but he gave way too much for way too little. The other teams saw him coming and Bent him over the table.
