does anyone know how much room we have left? i hope we have enough for atleast one more big move.

Everyone's favorite writer Omar Kelly estimates we have about 4-5 million left, but there's always a way to get more.

After signing Soliai to an extension we should have around $10 million which means one more big signing and a couple of role players OR two big signings and nothing else. Now a couple players could rework their deals to create more space.

All indications are the Dolphins are finished. That is "big news".

seems like we are "set" maybe a depth addition or two but seems this is what we are rolling with

The Dolphins aren't finished. TE and RB need to be addresed. And QB is always an option

Palm Beach Post says they have around $5-7 million of space left. They speculate they MIGHT sign one more impact free agent, but might also now turn to extending the contracts of guys like Langford, Soliai and Wake.

We are pretty much set across the team, though it would be nice to still upgrade the QB position, maybe look at some safety help and another backup outside linebacker. Otherwise the team is set.

the team will continue to change a little bit until early september. we all know this. guys who we like will be cut, we will cut guys etc etc. im not ruling out one more big signing but im not counting on it either. remember we have to be at 99% of the cap i think so . . .

I swear laconfora said on NFLN that that rule did not apply til 2013. I'll try to find out more info.

I'm all for extending Wake, Langford and Soliai now. I still think we will look at a veteran RB, WR and if we do sign another big name, it will be on the interior OLine. I think Miami probably feels it can go with Burnett on 3rd downs as a pass rusher, along with Dansby, AJ Edds and Wake to round out our LB crew. We may not go after OLB anymore after the Trusnick signing, plus you can always throw Misi out there on occassion. We could look at the Safety from San Fran still if he is still available.

nothing would make me feel better about this offseason than if we went out and got Goldson.

Yeah - what happen with Goldson at FS?

That (Clemmons at FS) is our only weak starter on defense. I'd like to see that upgrade.

And I'd be more comfortable if we signed one more top G/T in FA. We're counting on a lot from Garner/Jerry and what if Carey starts declining this year?

One more big move? I must have missed the previous big move. We got a new ilb which is nice but other than that we added a back-up rb and QB. We aren't bringing in anymore rb or te, those areas have been "addressed" in Ireland's eyes. Rookie RB n rookie TE to go with our PR/3rd down back. We re "set". Set to go 8-8.

Per-team spending minimum doesn’t apply until 2013

The players got what they wanted. But it doesn’t apply until 2013.

Yes, for 2011 and 2012 no minimum cash spending requirement applies on a per-team basis. We were first alerted to this reality on Thursday morning, during a weekly segment with Steve Davis and Ed Norris of 105.7 the Fan in Baltimore. Davis said that Ravens president Dick Cass had explained the situation in a recent on-air interview, and Davis forwarded the audio to us later in the day.

The summary of the final deal that we obtained on Monday confirms that, indeed, the “minimum team cash spend” applies on a four-year basis from 2013 through 2016, and from 2017 through 2020. No minimum per-team expenditure applies for 2011 and 2012.

Still, on a league-wide basis, the labor deal requires the NFL to spend 99 percent of the salary cap in cash in 2011 and 2012.

Then the season is finished before it even gets started.

They clearly need more help for any hopes of a playoff spot.
