just wondering if anybody could give a update on how much cap we have as of the moment ? :dolphins:

About 25 million before some cuts (Booker, Green, Shelton etc.)

We have all the money we need to make a splash.

I don't think you took into account the Chris Chambers trade (+$7 million). This site says we hav $35 million.

If Green, Zach, and Taylor retired we would have $50 million free. I want Zach and Taylor to stay though. Marty Booker's salary isn't too high... I'd kind of like to see what he could do in the slot, with Ginn as the #1.

As for Shelton, he played ok at RT. Not as good as Vernon Carey at RT, 2 years ago... Shelton is paid too much to be a backup, but we don't have depth at OT, so I'd let somebody beat him out in training camp before I cut him.

I just went by what the majority of the media have been saying; but you're right, they may not be taking that into account. Then again, you need to leave money to sign draft picks (including the first overall) so 25 million might be what we realistically have to spend in FA.

What's scary about that list is that they show the Chargers having the MOST cap space at around 43 mill!!! This just in, the Chargers are playing in the AFC Championship game.

At the end of the day, we're sittin pretty and have the ability to either trade for a ton of picks and have the cap room to sign them all or go with the picks we have and make a splash or two in FA, or a bit of both. Personally, I'd like to clean house and draft young up and comers to develop. Realistically, we're not going to challenge for the division next year, so let the youth movement begin.

Wow. After seeing where all the teams are cap wise, and even after the season we just endured, I feel good about my Fins, and thankful that I'm not an Atlanta or Baltimore fan.

No doubt, Atlanta is screwed and I'm lovin every minute of it. They get what they deserve.
