With Capers as our D Cordinator will we be going more towards a 3/4 defense

In other news, when the sun comes up, it will be daytime.

no need to be a smart ***..

I also don't think this to be true. I see Capers and Saban combing forces to make an even more elite defensive schemes.

LOL! Sorry, I though this was a state the obvious thread. ;)

Is that a math problem where I have to figure out the variable? JK. Please excuse my sorry attempt at humor. I know what you're saying.

Capers may change the face of our draft to be honest. Out of no where, another Linebacker may be important.

I don't know that we won't still throw some other stuff in the mix, but, it's obvious that's the direction that Nick is going with this move and defense. Capers is a 3-4 coordinator.. PERIOD.. and of course Nick's Defense is mostly 3-4 with some other hybrid formations and schemes.. I think our defense is going to look like no other defense has looked next season... I have a feeling Offensive Coordinators around the league are going to be doing some extra video watching of our defense next season. Also, that should make our offense better, having to go up against that defense in training camp and practice..

Capers does not have a good track record when it comes to drafting 3-4 personnel. I think he will have very little input.

I agree that he's going to help with the conversion but I dont think that I see us ever just setting into one kind of D. Last year we lined up all different types of looks and had blitzers coming from everywhere. I dont think we are going to see anything much different than that. I could be completely wrong, but I think if we had some stronger corners last year and 1 stonger saftey we would have been one of the very top D's in the league.

I dont see too much of a change coming truthfully.

I like the moves of bringing in Capers and Mularkey....we now have two experienced former HC's running our offense and defense. Hopefully their won't be too many chiefs trying to run the show, but I am sure Saban knows what he is doing. :)

Yeah, I think they will both know where their place is on this team.

Better get that inevitable whole in the middle plugged first with a good young NT.

i think Nick saban hired don capers so he could learn about the 3-4 in the nfl because in college and the nfl it is totally different also don capers will be a good assistant and help nick saban learn the true ins and outs of being a nfl head coach himself coaching longer than Saban, but man with these to great hires i cant wait for next season, we have 3 former/present head coaches on team.
