#Dolphins LT Branden Albert (knee) is out tonight, won't play next week, either. Source said don't expect him back until week 3 vs. #Bills.

First we have heard from a national writer a specific date. I thought it was interesting.

LT is a major issue early on this season.
 
That is a fair estimate . . . probably depends on who is in his place for the first 2 games and how they fair. I figured week 1 was overly optimistic and after the bye week was overly conservative. Week 3, division game against a top 5 defense would definitely help, especially if we are struggling.
 
Makes sense, since our first two games are against arguably the 2 worst teams we'll play all year. But we better hope to God that we don't lose either of those
 
That is almost another month for the big man. If the team was steadier at LT, I would love to start him after the bye.

We have known forever that our LT is damaged goods and may not be back for a while, but we seem to keep trying to put a bandaid on things. Not much the Phin's can do about it now, other than reclaiming a bunch of crap off the waiver wire when teams get down to 53, or just stay put. :rolleyes2:
 
Works for me. Get a few weeks stronger against the easier part of the schedule. I'd rather him out in September vs the Skins and Jags than out later in the year
 
If you want to know a way to lose one of those first 2 opening games the left tackle situation qualifies
 
After the bye week. Its what I have been saying. And that's rushing him!

He is a huge man and he tore 2 ligaments.

Management failed us folks - I will say it till I am blue in the face!

The team has to look far and wide over the next week for another alternative at LT. Waiver pick up, FA or even trade.
 
Get someone to play LT efficiently the first two weeks and were good
