Cardinals might be favorite to land manning

Not going to happen. yOu don't invest what they did in kolb just to throw it away the very next season.

This. I don't see any way that hey could justify signing Manning. That would be basically admitting to your fanbase that you made a mistake with Kolb and that everything you gave up was for nothing. Maybe after another few years, but absolutely not after one.

This guy has a serious Cardinals bias, but what he is saying isn't off base. The Cardinals have as good of a shot at Peyton as anybody right now, and Kolb has a very cap friendly situation, so he shouldn't really be an issue. I hope we get Peyton more than anything else, but we need a contingency plan that ISN'T Matt Flynn.

"I think they have a tremendous shot and I'd be very surprised if they didn't pull it off," said Metz. "Only he is going to know for sure, but I would think it comes down to Miami and Arizona, and I think Arizona wins out." Because the interest in Manning is strong, Metz expects a decision within the next week. He discounts the Seahawks for "geography" and the Chiefs for "fit," though it's worth pointing out Metz has an obvious bias in favor of Arizona. Per ESPN Stats & Info, the Cardinals have "the one offense that most resembles the Colts."

I could see Arizona more than any other team (apart from Miami)... but I still think he stays in the AFC.

That way both he and Eli still have a shot at the super bowl every year. If he goes NFC... only one of them has a shot each year.
