Cardinals re-sign Warner 3y/$18m

Too bad. he would have been a great pick-up, imo.

After that one terrible stretch of games, he turned it around again. He could have really thrived in Miami.

Yeah, its not very well written. But this is a good move for the cards. Warner did well for them even without a running game or oline. If they draft someone, they should be ok at qb until their draftee is ready, unless Warner gets hurt again.

Yeah, he's one I was wrong about. I thought he was d.o.n.e.

Good for him. If we could have gotten him, but traded his wife to the Jets, all would have been perfect.

I would sign McCown if he became available as a FA. He's got the height, he's young and he's got experience as a starter. I'd rather take a shot w/ him and draft a QB then we'd be set for a couple of years w/ our starting QB and backup QB.

He had 3x the season Gussy boy had.
He completed almost 65% of his passes and has a 85.8 QB rating.

I like McCown a lot. He has a super arm and twice the accuracy Gus has. His decision making will improve.

Dude... not all veteran quarterbacks are garbage. And not all rookies are saviors.

Warner had a really good year. In 10 games he completed 64.5% of his passes (!) for 2700 yards in, mind you, TEN games. He had a YPA over 7.

People need to remember that any quarterback we draft has about a one in three chance of working out at all. And that's if we draft one high.
 
I would have no problem giving McCown a shot. He has a strong arm and can move around. He does need to improve his decisions, but so does most young quarterbacks. I would much rather have him than McNair which seems to be heating up lately.
