Carey is Dolphins' nominee for NFL Man of the Year

He wasn't very good this past Sunday...we've seen a serious downgrade from Carey this season IMO and although its nice that he's a great person, that doesn't necessarily make him a great football player.

Though, I do hope he levels his play out a little bit before the seasons end and we eventually do re-sign him for decent money. Definitely not worthy of top tackle by any stretch.
 
that's cool - but he's got to be more than a class act if he wants that extension though - he's got to pick it up as our RT!
 
Carey is a class human being, and his contributions to the community are wonderful too see. That being said, that doesn't automatically earn him a new contract to continue to be the RT of the Miami Dolphins. He's got to step up his play on the field. Especially, at this time of year, where for the first time in Vernon's career the Dolphins are fighting for a playoff spot.
 
Sparano wants to keep him on the team too...i liked reading that..good post and good read...
 
That's awesome. Carey sounds like the kind of person parents want their kids to grow to be. I'm proud a man of that caliber is on my favorite sports team and hopefully we'll see many more years out of him as a Dolphin.
