...at least at this point. If you're not starting in your SECOND year as a first-round offensive lineman, you're a bust.

Period.

Did he play tonight? I did not notice him, which for an O lineman is not necessarily a bad thing, as I did not see he get beat. UNLIKE the matador MacIntosh on the fumble play with Simion Rice. That was just brutal.

Whether he played or not, he still didn't start, and that equals bust. A first-round lineman should start in his FIRST year (especially on THIS team). Carey isn't even starting in his SECOND.

thanks Rick Spielman. I know we should of taken Vince Wilfork, he is starting for the pats and playing good

We not only didn't take Wilfork, we traded a FOURTH for Carey! Talk about desperation -- that was Wanny and Spielman's do or die year and they killed the team.

If we had the chance to go back and change that draft pick and avoid trading up to Minnesota, would I want to do it? Of course. Is he a bust? I still think it's too early, he's learning a brand new system this year. A REAL SYSTEM. Give Hudson Houck some time, give the Offensive line some time. He said it would take a year for these guys to gel together, he really wasn't kidding. I thought I saw some flashes in the Denver and Carolina game, but now I really am not sure what to think.

if he didn't play for the U, he wouldn't have been drafted by miami. i didn't want him at all...of course philly made the power move and got andrews through a trade, so i guess we were stuck with him

If he's not starting by the beginning of next season, yes he's a bust. But not right now.

You're gonna give an offensive lineman two years to start? Christ, Kyle Orton is starting RIGHT NOW, and he was a 4th round pick at QB!

Yes.Andrews was the guy we really wanted but we did not have the ammunition to trade up thanks to previous mis-spent draft picks.

The way I heard it RS had a short list of 6 players which were all gone except for Carey by the time we picked and RS panicked to get the last name on his list.

BTW the Eagles were widely rumored to be interested in trading up for Andrews before the draft but apparently RS was caught by surprise .

haha, what a joke.

He is a bust because he hasn't played and he is in his second year. I could go through a list a mile long of people that you would classify busts. I don't feel like arguing anymore.

Just give me one offensive lineman who hasn't started consistently 5 games into his second year. Don't give me a list of QBs and WRs.
