Dam...This is a huge test for Vernon Carey and his confidence to stop Ogunleye who is a former pro-bowler and very good even though he had more impact in Miami next to JT. This is going to be interesting to watch and will tell us if Carey can be our LT. If he can stop Ogunleye, either Houck is a genius or Carey wasn't given a fair chance last year.

I'm getting excited allready.

Only way Ogunleye will be a pro-bowler again is if he has Taylor on the other side. But I could be wrong.

I know that he probobally moves around on the DE rotation (RE to LE)...but im sure he is mostly the LE

I'm not sure if O-Gun is even going to play tomorrow\today,,,From what I've read, he's still not 100% from his injury. Even if he does play I don't expect Carey to get a full taste.

There is however a very good chance that Carey goes up against Brown quite often in the 1st quarter...but again...since it's not only a pre-season game but the 1st pre-season game, Carey or any of the bears I mentioned might not play much at all since Saban said it was most important to look at the backups this game.

Ehhh, who knows? Well, Saban, but he's not telling. :)

I just want the season to start...right now!

Carey isn't my biggest worry, since I know Carey is being well-coached and has more talent at this point than Roman Oben. It's how we get the running game rolling inside, because even in 2002 we had trouble with that. Refer to the Pats game at the end of the 2002 season on a critical drive deep in our territory.

ogun got his contract, lets see if he can live up to it.

I think going against Ogunleye will be the best thing for Carey. He seems to have reacted to having to play someone as talented as JT so it'll be a big number call.

ever since Ruddy got hurt and had to start splitting time with Seth....come to think of it...I wonder if Ruddy can still play :) I know he's had time enough now for his body to heal and with Wanny gone so might the ill will that was created? :D I always felt people slammed on Ruddy a little too much.

Actually I think that Hadnot might just be our solution to our C problems. While the Conference USA isn't the best conference in America it's still pretty good and he was ALL Conference his senior year at C so we know he's familiar with line calls.

i dont think wally plays today i read somewhere he is still recovering

Carey gets to practice against JT O-Gun brings nothing new to the table. I have no respect for O-Gun. The Dolphins signed him when no one was going to give him a chance, and waited out a full year of him being on the PUP team. He has a great season, and holds out. At least come to camp and try to get it done. I am glad we got a real #2 wr in Booker, and the Bears got 4 sacks. JT was his road to riches, and he had no respect.

He has been injured most of the time he has been there but when he has played he has shown flashes of what he was here.He certainly helped to make Bears defense much better and has had a hand into develping Alex Brown into a formidable DE.

Ogun will be a true test for Carey.

Ogun will be a test, but I also read that he may not play. I'm sure he wants to play against the Fins tho...actuallly Carey will face Alex Brown mostly. Ogun does have the option to move around in Lovie's D, but usually lines up at the LDE which means he'd be up against Stockar mostly.

This will be good for Carey, no matter who he plays against. I am not sure how HH will work things...will the "starting" guys (Carey, Jeno, Seth, Rex and Stockar) get more time to kind of gel, or will he switch them up a lot to get a look at different combinations (Rex to C, Mck to RG or even Middleton at RG and Seth backup). In any event, since the OL really ties closely to how much the offense progresses, it'll be very interesting to watch...

This might be the one time that we saw Pornstache get the better end of a deal... (Actually was probably Spielman)
