carl banks, the former giant linebacker, who played with lt and for parcells and now is a commentator for the giants said that will allen is a good player, who is always in position to make plays but just can't catch...he also said that nick saban will make him a better player...banks played for saban with cleveland...o.j. and sid were surprised by his comments but i'll take banks' opinion...he played the game and watched will allen on tape...sid is a big giant fan...o.j. said it was encouraging to hear what banks said...plus he is younger than madison...
 
it makes me feel better after hearing some giant fans bash him...carl banks knows what he is talking about...
 
Yeah Sid thinks it was a terrible move by the Dolphins but we'll just have to wait and see now.
 
Damn, I`m jealous of you guys living in Florida that get to listen to OJs show! Allen was a good pickup imo, I`m just wondering how many times we`re all going to go ballistic every time he drops an int.

I'm here in Jersey and my cousin is a season ticket holder and die hard Giants fan. He could'nt say enough bad things about Allen. I hope Nick can coach him up.

i'll take an opinion from a former player over a fan's opinion any day...
 
Im also in Jersey and have heard bad things.

But I can see Saban making him go out there in day 1 of practice and just have guys fire passes at him until he learns how to catch lol. Its funny but Im serious. I think Saban can bring out the best in this young guy.
 
Nick Saban is a DB specialist. He will take a CB and make them something as long as they have the tools. Im sure NS was thinking if catching the ball is his biggest prob, then maybe that explains why he is a DB and not a WR. Catching a ball as a DB is a bit overrated when it comes to covering WR's especially in this sense.

I tell people all the time, NS doesnt need big name CB's. He just needs guys with some speed, tackling, and covering ability. He will deal with the rest in the system.
