To me and for the years of experience I have watching the sport my conclusion is that nick is going to pursue the services of the following QB´s before the draft .

1- david carr :houston has a buy back option on him , it´s still possible via trade and maybe a 1st round pick , it has to be very profitable for houston to let him go , and you bet david wants out already , miami could be very promising for him .

2 - Philip Rivers : almost the same situation as carr , could be more easy cause they have brees and a backup named FEELEY , you bet also he wants to be in aqua , he and his agent know he ´ll play here , maybe even the lemon/feeley transaction may be a step forward in the process to get him , they cut feeley get lemon back plus a 1st pick for rivers ?? who knows .

3 - matt schaub : he is a good player , falls a bit behind carr and rivers to me , but don´t think will be let go anywhere , if he is there ...grab him .

4 - john kitna - he is a solid player and has heart , not much a bust or upgrade , but at least can make the position better .

5 - Chris simms - the kid is calm , has shown promise and has a good mind for the game , could be a game plan/controlled type of QB , he is a FA next year , he is a good pick also .

I beleive this are the 5 guys that can be in aqua and orange next year , to my opinion it will happen , first we don´t have as much picks as last year in early rounds , second you address QB in the FA and then go for youth at OL and D .

Simple as that .

How could you want Carr over Rivers?

Carr and Simms might be worth it, although I really doubt Carr is going anywhere.

Riviers, whose to say the Bolts don't trade Brees? A probowl QB should be worth more then a sitting 1st rd pick.

(Mike?)....Matt. He would be a good fit, I was hoping we would have drafted him. I Wouldn't mind any of the guys you listed, in a heartbeat. Good read, only heres a tip, try knowing who you're recomending, it's a lot more convincing proposal.

Hi Bowl !!!! ....leinhart is out of proportion I think right now , remember we already are paying a big salary to our first rounder ronnie brown we can´t afford another one in consecutive years with the needs we have .

I agree. I like Carr alot. He is proven and must be unhappy in Houston. I like Rivers and Marino was high on him when he was with the phins for two weeks (he was high on him and Roethlisburger- I trust marino on talent). I like Sims but something must be up with him to always seem to be in Grudens doghouse.

I'd rather not draft because it is a total unknown. I'd hate to have an Akili Smith.

(As an aside; I was real intrigued by Marino's comments on Lemon. Maybe we won't even be in the market as much as we think. We may be more looking for proven QB).

Hi yourself. I guess I was thinking that we will have to pay the pick we get (like last year) anyway. Additionally I think that someone like Carr, or Rivers (both 1st rounders) would have an equal cap impact. Just thoughts.

thanks feelthepain ........ok I will recommend .....chris simms ..... for the price he is the most promising , i like the kid , he is a calm player with good delivery , nice motion ....he will start in miami no question . plus the cost for him will be a lot less .

carr or rivers will be expensive to get , but you know they already have experience , the fins need a young QB for the future , but not a kid to develop in 2 years cause the team next year will be competitive . and I feel that with the monster contract that alex smith got .....leinhart or any 1st rounder will ask for something similar .

leinart sucks, drop the leinart bullcrap, i want carr or rivers, i like brady quinn as well in the draft

I have my doubts that Saban will select a QB high in the draft or use a draft pick to aquire one from another team....thats not what his mentor has done nor has Randy Mueller. With these two....never look in the obvious places...or think like most of the NFL would. I figure one way or the other they didn't bring in LEMON...to be squeezed...he must be important to them. Look for the Dolphins to use the first two picks in the draft for positions other than QB. Most likely OLT...Corner...receiver.
