Carroo may not return to the lineup this week. Carroo is working on improving in ST

Yea I figured his "inactive" last week had more to do with Rashwan Scott being a better special teams player than him.

Also to do this . . . Devante Parker must be feeling really good. It showed on that TD catch and run.

Rashawn Scott was active over Leonte Carroo last week because Scott was practicing better.

Don't think coaches are too happy with Carroo right now, but i'm not giving up on any players anymore.

I was upset with Ajayi after week 1, wanted to cut Maxwell after a few weeks.... JuWan James.... So I am just going to sit back and trust Gase to do what he does.

did you see how high Parker's leg got on that touchdown run? My god..

the potential of this kid is as high as anyone in the league.

3 picks for a special teams inactive player. I just can't get over it...I'm trying to move on but that one really ticks me off.

Thank god our gm threw a pile of picks at that move :bobdole: its not like we need any help on d this year

I mean in fairness . . . Gase doesn't have any room for a #4 WR right now. He's running with 3 RBs that he uses, 3 WRs that are often in there and 2 TE's. He needs to keep a #4 WR active to protect against injury and it would help if that guy can be a solid special teams contributor. Seems like Rashawn Scott was a better option for what the team needed and how Leonte handles that will help in going forward.

Plus Grant has no place on the field. Strictly a returner.

Carroo has gotten some seperation on the field this year . . . but he's clearly behind Parker/Landry/Stills and that won't be changing. If one of those guys go down, you'd have to figure he's the first man up.

AND he seems like he's a humble kid too...FAR too rare when considering young, gifted WRs...he's never in the camera runnin' his mouth, etc.

Love it.

With all the injuries we have and core special teamers like Thomas and Paysinger being asked to play more on defense, it makes sense the bottom of the roster has to play special teams.

I mean you can sugar coat it all you want, Carroo was a useless pick, nevermind trading picks for him...
*useless might seem harsh, but its the perfect match...

Useless now? Yes

Useless in Year 2, 3, 4 or when DVP goes down again? Nope.

Carroo is still the number 4 receiver on the team. I think the inactivity has more to do with special teams needs that Carroo progress or lack of progress as a receiver. If something happened to Parker, Stills or Landry I'm sure Carroo would see more action than Grant or Scott. I think the team just feels they can get by with just the big three and if something happened during a game Grant can get spot duty for a few plays.

If he can beat out random undrafted players and actually get active in year 2.

Let him get on the field bwfore you compare him to Parker.

Thats fine... but dont dont trade up for player who "might" be usefull 2-3 years down the road "in case" of injury...

I have nothing against the player, just what it cost to aquire him relative to what his worth to the team is...

If Carroo had fallen to us, we liked the kid a lot and it was a BPA selection Id be fine with it even though WR isn't an immediate need. I just can't wrap my mind around the trade up.
